LumiWorks is a small, founder-led business working across software development, marketing and operations consulting. We are based in Dubai, with a remote team working across several countries.
We’re hiring our first dedicated Business Operations Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations for LumiWorks and help provide similar support to our client businesses. Until now, the Founder has handled this work directly.
This is a hands-on, learning-heavy role. You’ll work closely with the Founder to understand how the businesses operate and take ownership of more complex work. We’re looking for someone curious, resourceful and eager to grow their skills.
The Role
You will manage finance administration, payments, company documentation, team operations and relationships with external service providers.
You’ll work directly with the Founder, who sets priorities and approves major decisions. You will research options, make recommendations and carry out the agreed plan, keeping work moving and flagging issues early.
You don’t need to know every banking product, jurisdiction, optimal payment processors, or business process on day one. You do need to be comfortable learning unfamiliar subjects, checking your work and knowing when to seek specialist advice.
Responsibilities
- Research and compare banks, electronic money institutions and payment processors, considering eligibility, fees, foreign exchange costs and operational requirements.
- Coordinate account applications and onboarding, including preparing KYC/KYB documentation and following up on outstanding requirements.
- Help client businesses evaluate payment providers, expand local payment methods and identify opportunities to improve payment acceptance.
- Coordinate payroll, contractor payments and Employer of Record providers, ensuring payments are accurate, approved and completed on time.
- Prepare invoices and monthly bookkeeping documents, resolve accountant queries and investigate discrepancies.
- Coordinate with accountants, lawyers and corporate service providers in the UAE and abroad, tracking actions through to completion.
- Maintain company records and track licences, contracts, renewals and other deadlines.
- Coordinate employee and contractor onboarding, employment documentation, leave tracking and offboarding.
- Work with the customer support team to improve processes, documentation and coverage planning.
- Review recurring costs, negotiate with vendors and implement approved changes.
- Use AI tools and automation to reduce repetitive work, and build practical trackers, checklists and standard operating procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- Around three years or more of relevant experience in business operations, finance administration, corporate services, executive support or a similar role. Demonstrated capability matters more than your previous title.
- Examples of taking responsibility for work involving payments, company administration, vendors, external providers or operational improvements.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with spreadsheets, documents and financial information.
- Clear written and spoken English, including the ability to present concise research and recommendations.
- Confidence learning new software and using AI tools effectively, while verifying important information.
- Good judgment with confidential information, payment approvals and issues that require professional advice.
- Currently based in the UAE and comfortable working remotely with an international team.
Helpful, but Not Required
- Education or experience in accounting, finance, law or corporate services.
- UAE corporate banking or KYB onboarding experience.
- Familiarity with international payments, payment processors or multi-entity operations.
- Experience in a startup or small business.
- Examples of automating tasks or improving an existing process.
Growth Opportunity
As you learn the businesses and demonstrate results, you’ll have the opportunity to take on broader responsibility, lead projects and help build the operations team.
Over time, this could develop into an operations leadership role. Progression will depend on your contribution and how the business grows.

- Curious, resourceful and eager to learn unfamiliar business processes.
- Relevant experience in operations, executive support, finance administration or similar work; capability matters more than titles or years.
- Strong attention to detail with documents, numbers and deadlines.
- Tech-capable, comfortable with spreadsheets and AI tools, and able to verify important information.
- Takes ownership, follows through and flags problems early.
- Communicates clearly and presents concise research and recommendations.
- Interested in growing into broader operations responsibility.
- Finance, accounting, legal or corporate-services background preferred, but not required.
- Currently based in the UAE and comfortable working remotely with an international team.
