<p>JOB PURPOSE
The Safety Officer will monitor day-to-day site safety compliance on the Ghuwaifat Project, ensuring that all personnel work in a safe environment in accordance with project HSE requirements. The role plays a frontline part in hazard identification, safety awareness, and enforcement of safe work practices on site.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor day-to-day safety compliance across all site work areas.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety inductions for site personnel and new starters.
• Identify hazards and unsafe conditions on site and ensure they are promptly addressed.
• Enforce the correct use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices at all times.
• Conduct routine safety patrols and report observations to the HSE Senior.
• Support permit-to-work processes for high-risk activities on site.
• Report incidents, near-misses, and unsafe acts, and support investigations as required.
• Maintain accurate daily safety records, checklists, and reports.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and subcontractors to promote a positive safety culture.
