Role Description The Planning Officer is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with flexibility for some work from home. In this role, the individual will support strategic and operational planning across the fund’s activities, including developing work plans, timelines, and resource allocations for investment and ecosystem projects. Daily responsibilities include analyzing market and portfolio data, preparing planning reports and dashboards, and coordinating inputs from internal and external stakeholders. The role involves assisting in project planning for pipeline and portfolio initiatives, tracking progress against key milestones, and flagging risks or dependencies. The Planning Officer will also contribute to communication materials, such as planning briefs and presentations, to ensure alignment among investment, operations, and advisory teams. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Planning and Project Planning skills to structure initiatives, define milestones, and coordinate execution. Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess trends, and support evidence-based decision-making. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present planning insights clearly and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Candidates should possess relevant Planning or Urban Planning knowledge, or comparable experience in strategic or operational planning. Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, planning, public policy, finance, or a related field; advanced studies are an advantage. Experience in financial services, impact investing, development finance, or insurance-related sectors is beneficial. Strong proficiency in productivity and data tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, planning or project management tools). Ability to work independently, manage part-time hours effectively, and adapt in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
