Data Center Technicians are the primary resolver and troubleshoot and solve a range of datacenter infrastructure issues including, but not limited to: hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems. You will be part of the Data Center Operations (DCO) team, overseeing the operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and hardware for data centers in AWS Cloud regions. You will become the primary resolver for your support team, and gain troubleshooting skills on different hardware and software cases.<br><br>You will be able to troubleshoot and solve most infrastructure issues and engage other appropriate solutions groups on more complex problems to drive solutions.<br><br>Key job responsibilities<br><br>Safety<br><br> Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures. Manual handling and lifting of equipment up to 18 kg may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations). Ability to work at heights as required by operational tasks. Perform a variety of DCO procedures including break-and-fix repairs, host-level decommissions (HLD), server rack decommissions (SRD), media removal, media destruction, and first responder duties. Troubleshoot hardware issues using SOPs and available documentation; escalate when actions deviate from established procedures.<br><br>Scope & Decision-Making<br><br> Operate across one or more process paths within the DCO team, applying knowledge to determine the correct task or procedure — including slight deviations — to achieve desired outcomes. Work is reviewed daily by supervision.<br><br>Communication & Collaboration<br><br> Communicate clearly via tickets, SIMs, task tracking entries, and write-ups. Participate effectively in team meetings and present work to leaders.<br><br>Impact & Process Improvement<br><br> Deliver work that impacts team metrics including ticket resolution, decom throughput, and safety compliance. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for QA/QC, HVAC and Plumbing Engineers based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The role involves monitoring and verifying the quality of HVAC and plumbing installations, materials, and workmanship in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and company procedures. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing inspection and test plans, conducting site inspections, documenting non-conformities, and coordinating corrective and preventive actions with project teams. The engineers will collaborate with design, project management, and construction teams to ensure compliance with codes, client requirements, and internal quality systems, while supporting continuous improvement of processes.
