<span><br>POSITION SUMMARY<br>Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision. Safely perform highly complex repairs of the physical property, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration and pool heaters - ensuring all methods, materials and practices meet company standards and Local and National codes - with little or no supervision. Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of equipment (e.g., pump and motor replacement), plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners, HVAC equipment, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and program TV's. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work. Display advanced knowledge of all engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems, including devices that interact with such programs. Perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. Display the ability to train and mentor other engineers as necessary. Display ability to perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.<br>Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Adhere to quality expectations and standards. <p>The Khalil Research Group at NYU Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Senior Research Scientist to work on the development and application of covalent organic frameworks (COFs) for advanced water treatment and energy storage solutions. The successful candidate will join a young yet highly energytic team dedicated to leveraging chemistry, reaction engineering, and manufacturing principles to address pressing challenges in the water and energy sectors.</p><br><br>
<p>The appointed Senior Research Scientist will conduct independent research on high-throughput COF synthesis, focusing on their scalability and practical application. Key responsibilities include builidng automated setups, designing devices, processing materials, conducting experiments, publishing high-quality research, and contributing to the group’s funding efforts. The position provides a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility and engage with a collaborative and diverse research<br>community at NYUAD.</p><br><br>
<p>Applicants must have a PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with at least 10 years of relevant experience in their field (not including the years obtaining the PhD or equivalent terminal degree) along with extensive research and publication in well-known journals and conference papers or similar research accomplishments. Excellent device engineering, experimental, and characterization skills relevant to the project are required.</p><br><br>
