Experience:
Minimum ten (10) years of progressively responsible leadership experience within the construction, industrial, infrastructure, or related sectors.
Demonstrated experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams, operational functions, and commercial activities.
Proven track record in managing large-scale projects, business growth initiatives, and organizational performance.
Technical Proficiency :
Strong understanding of construction operations, project execution methodologies, and commercial management principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and business reporting tools.
Familiarity with enterprise systems and project management platforms such as SAP, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent solutions is desirable.

Job Purpose<br><br>Plan and support the development and implementation of training related policies, procedures and programs. Initiate and prepare various service agreements with educational institutes and training service providers, both in the UAE and abroad. Study and analyze different trends and feedback about learning activities and recommends necessary changes to enhance the quality of the services provided. Join us.</p><br><br>Job Description<br><p>We are seeking a seasoned Senior Planning Engineer to lead schedule and cost controls across complex infrastructure and buildings programs. You will shape robust baselines, drive project performance, and provide clear insights that help our clients make confident decisions.</p><br><ul><li>Ensure project schedules comply with specifications, guidelines, and standard work breakdown structures (WBS) </li><li>Coordinate planning activities , including interim milestones, traffic staging, and sectional handover requirements.</li><li>Monitor and integrate authority approvals (NOCs, permits, traffic diversion approvals, utility coordination) into the project schedule.</li><li>Review and assess contractors’ programs against contractual milestones, key performance indicators (KPIs), and phasing requirements.</li><li>Develop, review, and maintain detailed project schedules (baseline, recovery, and revised programs) using Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software.</li><li>Prepare master schedules, look-ahead programs, and weekly/monthly progress reports in coordination with project teams.</li><li>Monitor project progress against the approved baseline and identify delays, risks, and critical path impacts.</li><li>Perform schedule risk analysis, delay analysis, and time impact analysis (TIA) in accordance with contract requirements.</li><li>Coordinate with construction, procurement, design, and commercial teams to ensure alignment between schedule, resources, and deliverables.</li><li>Review contractors’ planning submissions, method statements, and manpower histograms for compliance with contract specifications.</li><li>Support the Project Manager/Resident Engineer by providing planning inputs for decision-making and corrective actions.</li><li>Prepare and evaluate EOT (Extension of Time) claims, substantiating delays with proper planning narratives and evidence.</li><li>Track procurement, long-lead items, approvals, and permits to ensure schedule compliance.</li><li>Develop recovery and mitigation plans to bring delayed activities back on track.</li><li>Conduct weekly and monthly planning meetings with stakeholders and issue meeting minutes related to schedule actions.</li><li>Ensure integration of cost, cash flow, and resource-loaded schedules where required.</li><li>Maintain proper documentation and ensure planning records comply with project controls and QA/QC procedures.</li><li>Provide mentoring and guidance to junior planning engineers and site planners.</li><li>Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities on all schedule-related matters.</li><li>Support project close-out by preparing as-built programs and final planning reports.</li></ul><br>Qualifications<br><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field (Master’s preferred).</li><li>Senior planning/controls role requiring 10+ years’ experience, strong base cost and standard planning capability, consultancy and local market experience, and a proven track record across infrastructure and buildings.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, cost control, EVM, risk analysis, and executive‑quality reporting is essential.</li><li>Client‑facing leadership, clear communication, and rigorous governance will be central to success.</li></ul><br>Additional Information<br><p><em>At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously. <strong>To support this commitment, all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.</strong></em></p><br><p><strong>About AECOM</strong> </p><br><p>AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
