The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-rise building construction with a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing quality assurance and quality control procedures, ensuring all MEP works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, international standards, and local authority regulations. The role requires close coordination with consultants, subcontractors, project teams, and clients to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.<br>Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Quality Control Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures in accordance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS). The ideal candidate will ensure that all civil works comply with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. </p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li><p>Implementing and monitoring QA/QC procedures for civil construction activities.</p></li><li><p>Reviewing project specifications, drawings, method statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).</p></li><li><p>Conducting inspections of civil works such as excavation, foundations, concrete works, backfilling, and associated pipeline infrastructure.</p></li><li><p>Raising and coordinating Inspection Requests (IRs) with the client/consultant.</p></li><li><p>Ensuring compliance of construction activities with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards.</p></li><li><p>Monitoring material inspections and verifying compliance with approved material specifications.</p></li><li><p>Preparing and maintaining QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs, test reports, and quality records.</p></li><li><p>Identifying non-conformities and ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.</p></li><li><p>Coordinating with construction, engineering, and HSE teams to resolve quality-related issues.</p></li><li><p>Participating in internal and external quality audits.</p></li><li><p>Preparing quality dossiers and supporting project handover documentation</p></li></ul><p></p></section>
Position Title MEP QA/QC and Handover Coordinator, Data Center Delivery<br>Department Projects / Quality / Data Center Delivery<br>Location UAE<br>Salary Range7,500.00 AED - 10,000.00 AED<br>Role Purpose We are looking for an MEP QA/QC and Handover Coordinator to control inspection readiness, quality documentation, snag closure, redline tracking, as-built inputs, and handover evidence for data center MEP delivery works. This role is critical because data center projects require strict traceability, inspection discipline, clean documentation, and controlled closure. The candidate must ensure that completed site work is properly inspected, documented, approved, and ready for handover. The role works closely with the Electromechanical Engineer, MEP Draftsman, site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and project management.<br>Key Responsibilities QA/QC Control• Implement project QA/QC requirements for MEP works.• Prepare, review, and coordinate Inspection Test Plans, checklists, WIRs, MIRs, RFIs, NCRs, and inspection records.• Verify that site works are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project standards.• Conduct pre-inspection checks before consultant/client inspection.• Track inspection status, comments, rejections, corrective actions, and approvals.• Ensure material inspections are completed before installation.• Coordinate closure of NCRs, quality observations, and repeated defects.<br>Handover and Documentation• Maintain handover tracker for all MEP systems and work areas.• Track redlines, as-built inputs, test records, inspection approvals, warranties, certificates, O&M manuals, calibration certificates, and commissioning-related documents.• Ensure site evidence is properly collected, named, filed, and linked to work areas or systems.• Support preparation of handover dossiers and system completion files.• Ensure documentation is built progressively during execution, not rushed at project closeout.<br>Snag and Closure Management• Maintain snag lists by area, system, subcontractor, responsible person, target date, and closure evidence.• Coordinate with site engineers and subcontractors to close snags quickly and properly.• Verify that closed snags have photo evidence, inspection confirmation, and updated records.• Escalate repeated or critical snags to project management.• Support daily and weekly closure meetings.<br>Coordination with Site Team• Work closely with engineers and draftsmen to ensure inspections, redlines, and as-built updates are aligned.• Highlight missing approvals, missing inspections, undocumented changes, and handover risks.• Support consultant inspections and client walkthroughs.• Ensure no work is hidden, closed, or handed over without required inspection and approval.<br>Required Qualifications• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, or related technical field.• 4 to 8 years of QA/QC or handover experience in MEP projects.• Experience in data centers, telecom facilities, critical infrastructure, hospitals, airports, industrial buildings, or technical facilities is preferred.• UAE project experience is preferred.<br>Required Technical Skills• Strong understanding of MEP inspection processes.• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, ELV/BMS, firefighting, and equipment installation documentation.• Experience with MIRs, WIRs, ITPs, checklists, RFIs, NCRs, snag lists, redline records, and handover dossiers.• Strong MS Excel and document tracking skills.• Ability to read MEP drawings and understand site installation conditions.• Good photo evidence, filing, naming, and traceability discipline.<br>Candidate Profile The right candidate must be:• Detail-oriented and disciplined.• Strong in follow-up.• Able to push closure without creating unnecessary conflict.• Practical enough to understand site reality.• Organized with documents, trackers, and evidence.• Serious about quality, safety, and handover readiness.• Able to identify risk before it becomes a handover problem.<br>Key Performance Indicators• Inspection approval rate.• Number of open snags and overdue snags.• NCR closure time.• Completeness of handover files.• Accuracy of trackers.• Availability of redline and as-built inputs.• Reduction of rejected inspections.• Readiness of system completion packs.
