The Assistant Manager - Supply Chain ’s expertise will play a critical role in ensuring efficient supply chain operations and effectively meeting customer demand.<br>Job Responsibilities:Demand Forecasting: Utilize historical data, market trends, and market insights to develop reliable demand forecasts.<br>Collaborative Forecasting: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and other relevant departments to gather inputs and insights for creating a comprehensive demand plan.<br>Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): Participate in S&OP meetings to align demand forecasts with supply chain capacities and ensure a balanced approach to meet customer demands and optimize inventory levels.<br>Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing stockouts, and overstock situations.<br>Data Analysis: Analyze demand data, sales figures, and other relevant metrics to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks that could impact demand planning accuracy.<br>Demand Variability Management: Implement strategies to mitigate demand volatility and develop contingency plans to handle unexpected fluctuations.<br>New Product Introduction: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop demand forecasts for new product launches based on market analysis and historical data.<br>Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor demand planning performance, regularly assess forecast accuracy, Stock aging and implement continuous improvement initiatives.<br>Reporting: Prepare and present demand planning reports and insights to relevant stakeholders and senior management.<br>Functional / Technical Competencies:Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.<br>Proficient in using demand planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IBP).<br>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
