<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <strong>Job Code:</strong> 287/001/469<br><strong>Industry:</strong> Paper Manufacturing<br><br>Our client in the<strong> paper manufacturing </strong>industry is seeking a skilled <strong>Mechanical Technician</strong> to perform <strong>preventive and corrective maintenance on paper production machinery and equipment. </strong>The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and overhauling mechanical equipment to ensure maximum plant reliability and uninterrupted production.<br>The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical maintenance experience within the paper manufacturing industry, with strong knowledge of paper machine components, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, pulpers, conveyors, and other production equipment.<br><br><ul><li>Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective mechanical maintenance on paper manufacturing equipment.</li><li>Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul paper machine components to ensure efficient plant operation.</li><li>Identify and understand the complete paper machine sections, components, and their functions.</li><li>Carry out paper machine roll servicing, repair work, gearbox servicing, and roll bearing replacement.</li><li>Perform repairs and overhauling of all types of pumps, including bearing unit replacement, mechanical seal replacement, and pump overhauling.</li><li>Maintain and repair pulpers, agitators, blowers, safety valves, process valves, and associated equipment.</li><li>Perform repair and maintenance of winders and conveyor systems.</li><li>Operate lifting equipment safely to support maintenance and repair activities.</li><li>Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime.</li><li>Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with safety procedures and company standards.</li><li>Maintain maintenance records and report equipment issues to the maintenance team.</li></ul><br><br><ul><li>Minimum<strong> 3 years</strong> of hands-on <strong>mechanical maintenance experience within the paper manufacturing industry.</strong></li><li>Strong <strong>knowledge of machinery used in paper production.</strong></li><li>Ability to understand and identify complete paper machine sections, components, and their functions.</li><li>Expertise in <strong>paper machine roll servicing and repair.</strong></li><li>Experience <strong>servicing gearboxes, replacing roll bearings, and performing mechanical overhauls.</strong></li><li>Hands-on experience repairing all types of pumps, including bearing unit replacement, mechanical seal replacement, and pump overhauling.</li><li>Experience <strong>repairing pulpers, agitators, blowers, safety valves, process valves,</strong> and related equipment.</li><li>Experience maintaining winders and conveyor systems.</li><li>Ability to safely operate lifting equipment during maintenance activities.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li></ul><br><br><em>Please visit our </em><strong><em>jobs</em></strong><em> page to check out our current list of jobs in UAE and across the world.</em><br><em>Follow us on </em><strong><em>LinkedIn</em></strong><em> and </em><strong><em>Facebook</em></strong><em> to stay updated regarding our upcoming opportunities.</em><br><em>Subscribe to our </em><strong><em>LinkedIn newsletter</em></strong><em> for weekly job updates.</em><br> </div>
