<b>Job Description</b><br>The Resident Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the progress of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. This role will require extensive on-site presence and coordination with various stakeholders during the entire construction process. <br>This role will be assigned in Abu Dhabi.<br>Key Responsibilities:<br>• Technical Delivery<br> <br> Supervise and coordinate all aspects of construction activities on-site, including material delivery, contractor schedules, labor resources, and equipment usage.<br> Reviewed the design proposals, work program, material submittals, method statements, shop drawings, payments, variation orders and claims, etc.<br> Effectively manage the site supervision staff during construction & ensuring the works are being conducted according to the Contract specifications.<br> Ensure all contractors, subcontractors and workers adhere to project schedules, quality, and safety standards.<br> Work closely with designers and architects to ensure accuracy and compliance with plans and specifications.<br> Regularly review progress and status reports and advise on adjustments and changes to meet project requirements.<br> Provide updates to the client and project team on the project’s status, costs, and progress and request for approvals or change orders, as necessary.<br> Collaborate with project contractors to recommend innovative solutions that will improve the quality of the project as well as save the project cost.<br> Prepare and submit periodic project reports summarizing progress, schedules, and goals to the management team.<br> Collaborate with other Resident engineers in other projects in coordinating schedules, resources and finding solutions.<br> Ensure monitoring of the quality of materials and workmanship installed, operated, and maintained.<br> Maintain the Resident Engineer’s daily diary and daily diaries and reports by his subordinates. Job Description<br><br>Job Overview:<br><br>The Senior Project Engineer uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the Project Engineering discipline within McDermott. They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the Project Engineering discipline. The Senior Project Engineer solves complex problems and uses their discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services. The Senior Project Engineer impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities with the Project Engineering team and other related teams and ensures that they are working within the appropriate guidelines and policies.<br><br>Responsibilities<br><br>Key Tasks and Responsibilities:<br><br>Coordinate and review inputs from the various Engineering disciplines, functional departments, and out-house contractors contributing to the execution of the Engineering portion of a project Coordinate and ensure the generation of deliverables, reports, and procedures required for the Engineering portion of the project Support management of the Engineering portion of the project as directed by the Project Engineering Manager Use discipline expertise and project experience to solve complex problems; take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions Manage own time to meet objectives; forecast and plan resource requirements Assist the Project Engineering Manager in Coordinate information between Engineering and other functions (such as Fabrication, Marine, etc.) to ensure timely receipt and delivery of necessary design inputs Ensure that registers of all documents received by Engineering as well as sent are maintained and updated in accordance with Document Control inclusive of timely distribution to all concerned personnel, departments, other entities, and subcontractor(s) as necessary Document substantive communications (communications that result in significant decisions or assignment of actions), and forward copies to Engineering Project Manager Facilitate the development and monitor closeout of technical queries to obtain missing information, clarify work scope, and maintain preferred McDermott procedures, specifications, standards, practices, and operational requirement Coordinate and progress site queries related to subcontracted works Review project schedule and fabrication schedule in relation to construction
