<p>A Dubai-based organization is seeking a commercially focused Legal Counsel to join its legal team on an initial 3-month contract, with the possibility of a further 3-month extension. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with experience in FinTech, payments, or financial services to work across a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters within a fast-paced business.
This is a part-time position (4 days per week) based in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
1. Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements.
2. Advise the business on commercial, payments, and financial services legal matters.
3. Provide guidance on UAE Central Bank regulations and other applicable regulatory requirements.
4. Support compliance, governance, and risk management initiatives across the business.
5. Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver practical, commercially focused legal advice.
6. Review and develop legal documentation, policies, and procedures.
7. Monitor regulatory developments and advise on their impact on the business.
8. Liaise with and manage external legal counsel where required.</p><p>Requirements
1. Qualified lawyer with 3+ years' post-qualification experience (PQE).
2. Experience gained within a FinTech, financial institution, payments company, telecommunications company, or a reputable law firm with a strong FinTech/payments practice.
3. Strong knowledge of UAE Central Bank regulations and the UAE financial services regulatory framework.
4. Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
5. Experience advising on compliance, governance, and regulatory matters.
6. Previous in-house experience is advantageous but not essential.
7. Commercially minded with the ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice.
8. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
9. Based in the UAE or able to work from Dubai.

As a category manager you will be responsible for defining and driving the “offer” and purchasing strategy for different products categories and brands. You will also define the action plan for the categories, merchandising, promotional activities, prices and negotiations.</p>

<li>Develop the business plan of the department in line with the strategic objectives of the brand</li>
<li>Formulate and communicate the department performance objectives and continuously monitor progress and alignment towards strategic objectives</li>
