JOB PURPOSE To implement athletics activities and services focusing on varsity sports in line with the student experience strategy and ensure all athletics activities and events are delivered in a timely and efficient manner for RIT students. <br>MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop, implement, and evaluate recreational sports programmes that encourage broad student and staff participation. • Plan and coordinate recreational leagues, tournaments, sports day initiatives, and active lifestyle activities throughout the academic year. • Design inclusive recreational sport programmes that cater to students with varying abilities, interests, and backgrounds. • Monitor and track programme participation and recommend improvements based on feedback and data. • Provide administrative guidance and operational support to RIT Dubai student sports clubs and ensure clubs comply with university policies, financial procedures, and university requirements.• Develop partnerships with national sports federations, local clubs, community organizations, and external service providers to position RIT strategically within the sports community. • Assist with managing Sport traffic, ensure appropriate athletic attire, facilities and equipment usage • Coordinate recreational athletics activities and administrative requirements to ensure efficient delivery of athletics activities (social sports and intramurals) and services for the RIT community. • Responsible for monitoring equipment inventory, maintaining all equipment and ensuring equipment is always readily available for use • Contribute to the development of the athletics calendar/timeline/schedule and monitor and communicate the athletics calendar to students to support the delivery of athletics requirements • Support the development, planning and implementation of athletics activities and events for RIT students as per university requirements • Liaise with students to schedule all athletics activities as per student and university requirements • Manage the intramural, recreational and social sport programs • Support the recording, maintenance and safeguarding of athletics related documentation and information as per RIT policies and procedures • Address and respond to athletics related queries in a timely manner as per RIT policies and procedures • Raise awareness of health and fitness issues and promote participation in athletics activities • Ensure compliance with all relevant (internal and external) regulations including QHSE requirements using RIT policies and procedures as appropriate • Assist the RIT community with the safe use of training equipment • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned / needed in order to meet the requirements of the role and the goals of the Institute. <br>QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in a sports related field. Role Description The IT Support Officer is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, with a mix of on-site and work-from-home responsibilities. This role provides first-line technical support to internal users, including diagnosing and resolving issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and basic network connectivity. Day-to-day tasks include responding to support tickets, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, installing and configuring systems, and maintaining an accurate record of incidents and resolutions. The IT Support Officer will also assist with routine maintenance, updates, and user training to ensure stable and secure IT operations. Collaboration with other team members and clear communication with non-technical users are key aspects of the role. Qualifications Strong technical support and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve common IT issues efficiently. Solid knowledge of information technology fundamentals, including operating systems, basic networking, and standard office applications. Hands-on experience supporting desktop computers, laptops, and related hardware in an office environment. Practical experience with printer support, including setup, configuration, and resolving printing errors. Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, simple language. Organized work style, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple support requests in a part-time schedule. Ability to work independently in a hybrid setting and collaborate effectively with colleagues based in Dubai. Relevant technical certification or coursework in IT support or a related field is preferred.
