Investment Manager/Associate
Location: Dubai
Client This is the private investment vehicle of two private investors based in Dubai, with interests across sport, media, consumer, technology and real estate. It combines its portfolio, operated from Dubai and the UK.
The role An investment seat inside the platform as it forms. The work is the combined portfolio through and after the merger: valuations, performance reviews, financing, bolt-on acquisitions and disposals, and new group-level transactions across sport, retail, leisure, consumer and technology, supporting the Investment Directors on the larger ones and running the smaller ones.
The portfolio spans sports technology, sports media and content, consumer brands, food and drink, retail, marketing services, and software.
Responsibilities:Deal execution Screening inbound opportunities and forming an early view on what merits the principals' time. Building financial models and valuations from scratch, including for businesses with lumpy or informal financials. Running diligence end-to-end: question lists, data rooms, adviser coordination, reference and customer calls, reading the accounts. Supporting structuring and negotiation alongside the principals: term sheets, shareholder protections, earn-outs, commercial mandates. Writing short, decision-ready investment notes for the principals and the Investment Committee. Managing completion and the first hundred days with founders.
Portfolio and operations This is a principal-led group, not a fund with a back office. The seat carries the portfolio work that keeps forty companies visible to the principals. Performance packs, board materials and improvement recommendations for founders who need them. Valuations and financing analysis across the group, not only in the three focus sectors. Diligence question sets and data rooms for group-level transactions led by the Investment Directors. Being the person who chases things until they're done.
Requirements:4 - 8 years on the principal side, in private equity, growth equity or a family office, having run deals rather than supported them. Venture capital experience is a plus, particularly where it involved working closely with founders after completion. Direct experience of minority positions in founder-led businesses. This is a specific skill, and most candidates will not have it. Someone who still does the work: builds the model, reads the contract, sits with the founder. No team reports to this seat. Able to manage multiple workstreams at once and as comfortable with the unglamorous ones as with the deals.
What it offers Genuine breadth of transaction exposure: founder-led minority deals through to group-level acquisitions, across sectors. Direct proximity to the principals and the Operating Partner from week one. A platform with stated ambition to grow its ticket sizes. The role grows as the vehicle does. A route to Investment Director for the right person.
About the Role AG&P LNG is looking for an HR Manager to be the on-the-ground HR focal point for our Dubai operations. This role owns the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding, supports full-cycle recruitment, and coordinates with global HR counterparts on policy, payroll, and compliance matters. You'll also serve as the first point of contact for employee relations and welfare, and provide oversight to the admin team covering reception, travel, and office upkeep — stepping in on executive support or travel logistics yourself when needed (roughly 10% of your time). This is a hands-on, high-visibility role suited to someone who enjoys owning a process from start to finish, partnering confidently across local and global stakeholders, and keeping employees and candidates well supported at every step.
Key Responsibilities Employee Lifecycle & HR Operations Oversee the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, and records management. Act as the HR focal point for all local staff matters and coordinate with global HR counterparts on policy alignment and reporting. Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws (supported by our legal department), visa requirements, and internal HR policies. Manage payroll coordination, leave tracking, and employee benefits administration. Maintain and update employee handbooks, contracts, and performance documentation. Support HR reporting and metrics (headcount, turnover, recruitment, and compliance data) to drive informed decision-making. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (end to end) Partner with hiring managers to understand headcount needs, build role profiles, and develop sourcing and workforce plans across engineering, technical, and corporate functions. Source candidates through Linked In Recruiter, Boolean search, job boards, employee referrals, agencies, and direct outreach, building a strong regional talent pipeline. Support recruitment processes including screening, interview coordination, and offer issuance. Manage candidate communication and experience throughout the process, ensuring timely, warm, and transparent updates. Conduct reference checks, background verification, and pre-employment documentation in line with UAE labor requirements. Onboarding Own the new hire onboarding journey: offer acceptance, visa/labor card coordination with PRO/government relations teams, document collection, and Day 1 readiness. Prepare onboarding schedules, welcome materials, and system access requests in coordination with IT, Facilities, and hiring managers. Check in with new hires during the first 30/60/90 days to support a smooth transition and early engagement. Employee Relations & Engagement Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations, engagement, and welfare matters. Support the resolution of grievances and performance or conduct concerns, escalating to legal/senior HR leadership as appropriate. Admin & Office Oversight (~10%) Provide oversight to the admin team (reception, travel, office upkeep), ensuring day-to-day support runs smoothly. Ensure consistent office protocols and basic facility management. Own vendor relationships for HR and office-related services (recruitment agencies, payroll and benefits providers, travel agencies, and facilities/office suppliers), managing service levels, renewals, and escalations. Step in on executive support, travel logistics, or coordination tasks as needed — including business travel and flight bookings for employees and candidates (interviews, mobilization, relocation), liaising with the corporate travel agent/portal on itineraries, fares, and approvals.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.4–5 years of progressive HR experience covering full-cycle recruitment, HR operations, and employee relations, ideally in a standalone or country HR lead capacity. Working knowledge of UAE Labour Law, visa/immigration requirements, and standard employment practices in the UAE/GCC market. Experience coordinating payroll inputs, leave management, and employee benefits administration. Hands-on experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and/or HRIS platform. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders — local and global — simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications Prior recruitment or HR experience in the energy, oil & gas, LNG, EPC, construction, or infrastructure sector. Experience operating as the sole or lead HR presence in a local office while reporting into a global/regional HR structure. Experience coordinating with PRO/government relations teams on visa processing, or overseeing office administration/facilities. Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts (recruitment agencies, benefits/insurance providers, travel agencies, or office suppliers). Professional certification such as CIPD, PHR, or SHRM-CP. Arabic language skills are an advantage but not required.
Technical and Soft Skills Technical ATS/HRIS systems (e.g., SAP Success Factors, Oracle HCM, Workday, or similar). Linked In Recruiter and Boolean search techniques. MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) for reporting and documentation. Familiarity with UAE employment documentation (offer letters, labor contracts, MOHRE processes) and payroll/WPS coordination. Working knowledge of corporate travel booking portals/agencies for flight, hotel, and itinerary management. Comfortable using AI productivity tools such as Claude to support drafting, summarizing, and HR documentation work.
Soft Skills Excellent stakeholder management and consultative partnering with hiring managers, employees, and global HR counterparts. Confident vendor management and negotiation skills, with the ability to hold external providers to agreed service levels. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight timelines. High attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential employee data and sensitive employee relations matters. Warm, professional communication style that creates a positive candidate and employee experience. Agile Delivery* Facilitate Agile ceremonies with the delivery team: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews and retrospectives.* Work with product owners to keep the backlog healthy — well-formed stories, clear acceptance criteria, correct prioritisation and readiness for sprint.* Track and report delivery metrics: velocity, burndown and burnup, cycle time, throughput, defect trends and release predictability.* Identify and remove impediments blocking the team; protect the team from unmanaged scope change and disruption.* Coach the team and the wider business on Agile practices, and operate hybrid Agile/waterfall approaches where the project or regulatory context requires it.* Drive continuous improvement from retrospective actions and lessons learned. About the role
The Graduate Project Manager role provides the essential coordination and structural support required to execute complex mandates for our clients, including an ongoing engagement for a Dubai-based financial services firm. We require an organized thinker who can track various project components without losing sight of the core strategic objectives. This position ensures that our principals can focus on high-level advisory while the mechanics of each project remain precise, timely, and well-documented.

About Arabian Private Holdings
Arabian Private Holdings was founded on the principle that many critical business problems do not fit the traditional large-firm consulting model. A board facing a succession question or a family group weighing a capital injection does not need a team of twelve associates and a hundred-page methodology deck. They need experienced partners who can sit with a problem, form a rigorous view, and defend it. Our work covers corporate strategy, governance, and operating model efficiency for some of the most significant family groups, listed corporations, and government entities in the region. We operate as a remote firm, choosing to prioritize the quality of our analysis and the strength of our relationships over traditional office overhead. If a project is not a fit for our expertise, we are direct about it. If it is, we stay involved until the decision is made and the results are delivered.

What you will do Maintain project timelines and internal resource logs for our current mandate with a Dubai-based financial services firm. Conduct targeted research into market trends and regulatory changes that affect client portfolios and holding company structures. Assist principals in drafting concise briefing notes and governance frameworks that translate complex data into clear recommendations. Track the status of different workstreams to ensure no detail is overlooked during a client scaling transition. Form a preliminary view on operational bottlenecks based on data provided by clients and internal analysis. Organize internal documentation and records so that the rationale for every decision is preserved and easily accessible. Prepare summary reports that outline project progress and highlight potential risks to the timeline. Support the principals in coordinating communication across different stakeholder groups involved in a mandate.

What we are looking for A high level of written precision and the ability to explain logical steps clearly in plain English. Natural curiosity about how large holding companies and financial institutions operate and generate value. Strong organizational habits that allow you to manage multiple threads of a mandate simultaneously without losing focus. A degree in business, economics, or a related field that demonstrates analytical training and academic rigor. Comfort working in a fully remote environment that requires proactive communication and self-direction. The ability to identify when a project is drifting from its original scope and call attention to it early.

How we work
We have replaced the traditional office with a model that prioritizes the quality of analysis over physical presence. Every member of the firm works remotely, using clear communication and shared documentation to stay aligned on our mandates. Mentoring happens through direct involvement in partner-level work rather than through formal training programs or HR initiatives. We value a quiet, focused approach where everyone is accountable for the outcome of the client engagement. Our firm avoids the aggressive growth targets of larger consultancies, focusing instead on delivering clarity for a select number of clients who value independent, honest advice.

What the role offers Direct exposure to senior principals and high-stakes corporate decision-making processes. A permanent, full-time position that is 100 percent remote. Competitive pay that is attractive for the entry-level market. The opportunity to contribute to significant projects, such as our current work with a Dubai-based financial services firm. A professional environment that values intellectual rigor and respects professional boundaries.
