<strong>Job Overview</strong><br>The Capillary Supervisor is the on-site leader responsible for the safe, efficient, and technically correct execution of all capillary string installation, retrieval, and chemical injection operations. This role serves as the primary point of contact for the client and is accountable for the performance and safety of the full crew. Toassist the Assistant Cell Operator, Cell Operator / Cell Technician in operating reduction cells to produce moltenaluminium effectively & efficiently.</p><p>2.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:</p><ul><li><p>Assists the PTM operator in changing anodes safely and to the required standard, by removing and replacingback pot shields, transferring anode reference mark, monitoring the pot voltage, activating/deactivating theanode set logic and anode dressing..</p></li></ul><p>•Assists and ensures that pot beam raising operation is performed as per procedure and in a safe manner.</p><p>•Prepares the tapping hole prior to metal tapping.</p><p>•Skims the crucible to remove dross.</p><p>•Performs metal and bath sampling for quality and chemistry control purposes.</p><p>•Assists the cell operator/ assistant cell operator in miscellaneous activities like housekeeping, bathtapping/pouring, material addition to pots, pot skimming and pot redressing.</p><p>•Assists in gutter and basement cleaning.</p><p>•Attends PTM (Pot Tending Machine) on-the-job training if required.</p><p>•Cleans crucible and siphon tips</p><p>•Attends anode effects efficiently aimed at lower PFC emissions</p><p>•Performs all other operational work activities as deemed necessary by the Shift-Supervisor (for example:cleans pot breaker tips, deck plates and bumper plates).</p><p>•Ensures pot shields and doors are properly placed and closed in order to reduce HF emissions.</p><p>•Maintains 5S Standards and general housekeeping</p><p>•Takes part in spotting and reporting hazards in order to reduce the incident frequency rate and aims for zeroLTI.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li><p>QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:</p><p>Minimum Qualifications:</p><p>•Secondary School Certificate</p><p>Minimum Experience:</p><p>•One year of experience in heavy industry is preferable.</p><p>Skills:</p><p>•Physical fitness and be prepared to work on one of the shift schedules operating within the Potrooms.</p><p>•Learning skills in order to understand the Aluminium Smelting Process.</p><p>•English communication skills</p><p>•Complete the training and acquire the skills to operate the following (depending upon the availability anddepartmental requirements): Pot Tending Machines, Anode Beam Raising Equipment and general Potroomtools, vehicles or equipment in use on the assigned Potline</p></li></ul>
