<p>Stock and maintain the tools and equipments required by the technicians across franchise locations and facilitate the receipt and issuance of tools in an efficient and timely manner enabling smooth functioning of the service process. Liaise with “Workshop Tool Coordinator (WTC)” to procure tools for the location</p><br><br>Responsibilities:<br><ul><li>Receive the requirements (new and warranty replacement) of special tools/ diagnostic equipments from all the franchises available in that location. Submit the request to Workshop Tools Co-ordinator for arranging the purchase. </li><li>Suggest potential suppliers to establish best price/quality/service standards and recommend favourable suppliers to WTC for review and confirmation. </li><li>Assess the requirements for tools/equipments in case of new locations and proactively request optimal quantities to support operations. </li><li>Follow up with the WTC/ Supplier to ensure the tools are delivered in time, identify any damage/loss on receipt and return for replacement/refund. </li><li>Maintain the tool room to ensure tools are stored in an orderly manner to facilitate easy pick up and delivery. </li><li>Issue, record and dispatch tools to the technicians as per the requirements, receive and verify them as per the delivery note. Conduct periodical / surprise audits of technician’s tool box and report to Workshop Manager/ WTC about the discrepancy. Also arrange to replace missing tools by debiting the amount to technicians. </li><li>If tools are not available in his location, co-ordinate with other tool room in-charge/ WTC to get the tools and return it back on timely basis. </li><li>Replace broken tools with the Technician. If the breakage is due to the technician’s negligence, arrange to recover the cost from the concerned technician. </li><li>Keep track of the maintenance schedules for the tools/equipments. Coordinate with the suppliers to ensure the tools are repaired and maintained in a good condition.</li><li>Monitor the level of lubricants in tanks and place orders as and when required. <br>• Oversee the sales and disposal of scrap and used tyres particularly ensuring the process is carried out as per the company policy. </li><li>Arrange a stock check on an annual basis as per the statutory requirements of audit. Do perpetual inventory check and document the same. </li><li>Co-ordinate with WTC to give maintenance contact for trouble free running of major equipments. <br>• Keep up to date with Government’s fire, health, safety and environment regulation and make sure the workshops or in compliance with the same </li><li>Ensure fire extinguishers and water dispenser are properly maintained and emergency doors are not blocked. </li><li>Co-ordinate with all concerned who are involved in exchange programs organized by manufactures.
