The candidate will be expected to work well as part of a team and autonomously and know when to reach back to the office / line manager for additional support.<br> <br>Job Duties<br> To achieve the highest standards of professional competence and to demonstrate this ability in all dealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing the profile of the firm. Experience in procurement and tendering Ability to integrate with key members of the design team and Client team. Assist in evaluating claims. Preparation of financial updates and monthly cost reports. Assesses and value progress payments and change requests. Review and compare scopes of work, production rates, and cost data. Supervise and manage contractors to ensure works are executed as per specifications, drawings, and project milestones. Direct, coordinate, and monitor the supervision team in conducting daily inspections of construction activities. Ensure full compliance with HSE requirements and promote a safety-first culture across all site operations. Resolve site-related issues promptly, providing sound engineering judgment and ensuring proper documentation. Represent AECOM in all Client, Contractor, and Authority meetings, maintaining professional communication and reporting standards. Review and endorse contractors’ technical submittals, method statements, material approvals, and construction drawings. Oversee and monitor progress reporting, schedule updates, and cost control to ensure alignment with project goals. Negotiate and manage scope variations, claims, and change requests in coordination with the Client and Contractor. Prepare and implement the Project Execution Plan, HSE Plan, and Quality Control Plan for the assigned package. Mentor and supervise subordinate engineers and inspectors, conducting performance reviews and ensuring skill development. NDRC methods Valid UAE Driving License. <br>Additional Information<br> The Resident Engineer must have full knowledge of the existing sewerage networks in the Emirates of Dubai. Familiar with the DM general conditions of contract, quality assurance, quantity surveying, and project network techniques (primavera p3).
