Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive corporate travel strategies aligned with organizational objectives, employee needs, cost targets, and business requirements. Establish, maintain, and continuously improve corporate travel policies covering flights, accommodation, ground transportation, business travel expenses, travel approvals, and traveler safety. Manage the end-to-end corporate travel program, including booking, itinerary management, travel changes, cancellations, refunds, traveler support, and post-trip administration. Manage relationships with airlines, hotels, travel-management companies, online booking platforms, car-rental providers, ground transportation companies, travel insurers, and other travel suppliers. Negotiate corporate rates, preferred supplier agreements, discounts, commissions, service-level agreements, and commercial terms. Develop preferred airline, hotel, accommodation, and transportation programs based on traveler requirements, cost efficiency, availability, service quality, and geographic coverage. Monitor corporate travel expenditure and identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining traveler satisfaction and business continuity. Analyze travel spending by department, employee group, destination, supplier, route, travel class, accommodation type, and business purpose. Establish and monitor travel budgets, forecasts, spending controls, approval thresholds, and cost-management initiatives. Develop and maintain corporate travel dashboards covering expenditure, savings, booking behavior, policy compliance, supplier performance, traveler satisfaction, and travel volumes. Monitor travel-booking patterns and identify opportunities for advance booking, preferred supplier utilization, route optimization, negotiated-rate adoption, and other cost-saving measures. Ensure corporate travelers receive appropriate support before, during, and after business trips. Establish traveler-service standards covering booking assistance, itinerary changes, cancellations, disruptions, emergency support, and after-hours assistance. Coordinate business travel for executives, senior leadership, project teams, international delegations, conferences, exhibitions, and major corporate events where applicable. Manage complex international itineraries involving multiple destinations, business meetings, events, visas, accommodation, and ground transportation. Work closely with HR and Government Relations teams on travel documentation, visas, work permits, immigration requirements, and international travel procedures where applicable. Develop and maintain travel-risk management programs covering destination risks, travel advisories, emergencies, health and safety considerations, security concerns, and traveler tracking. Establish emergency-response and traveler-support procedures for flight disruptions, natural disasters, political events, security incidents, medical emergencies, and other travel-related disruptions. Monitor international travel regulations, visa requirements, airline policies, destination restrictions, and other developments that may affect corporate travelers. Ensure corporate travel activities comply with internal policies, financial controls, tax requirements, immigration rules, data-protection requirements, and applicable regulations. Collaborate with Finance and Procurement teams to ensure travel expenses, supplier invoices, corporate-card transactions, reimbursements, and travel-related payments are properly managed. Review travel expenses and identify policy exceptions, unauthorized bookings, duplicate transactions, unusual spending patterns, and opportunities for improved compliance. Manage corporate travel technology including online booking tools, travel-management platforms, expense systems, traveler-tracking systems, and reporting tools. Evaluate and implement new travel technologies, automation solutions, artificial intelligence tools, mobile travel applications, and digital traveler services. Maintain comprehensive travel supplier records, contracts, travel policies, traveler profiles, preferred-rate agreements, performance reports, and travel documentation. Equally comfortable presenting a long term plan to the GM and personally configuring a promo rule or fraud filter in the Shopify backend the night before a sale. Deep GCC market knowledge — BNPL platforms, COD dynamics, KSA-specific payment and logistics nuances, customs and returns realities. Fluent in Arabic and English (required). French is a plus given our HQ. Deep platform expertise: Shopify Plus and/or Big Commerce, plus the third-party app ecosystem (CRM, OMS, payment, fraud, analytics). Manage technical due diligence assignments, engineering plan reviews, pre-purchase condition surveys and asset integrity assessments. Oversee inspections and surveys of offshore and marine assets, including MODUs, jack-up rigs, drillships, FPSO and FLNG units, offshore support vessels, AHTS vessels, tankers and barges. Direct regional field operations and coordinate the deployment and allocation of surveyors and technical specialists. Manage project delivery, operational budgets, resource allocation and project profitability. Assume responsibility for the business unit’s profit and loss performance. Minimum 17 years of technical experience within marine, offshore, Classification Society, oil and gas operator or marine consultancy environments. At least 8 years of senior project, operational or management experience in the Middle East. Experience managing regional business operations, budgets, project P&L and multidisciplinary technical teams. Membership of a recognized professional maritime organization such as IMar EST, RINA or SNAME would be advantageous.<br><br>Technical Knowledge and Experience<br><br>Strong knowledge of Classification Society rules, including requirements associated with organizations such as ABS, DNV and Lloyd’s Register. Thorough understanding of Flag State regulations and IMO conventions and codes, including SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM and ISPS. Knowledge of offshore industry standards and guidelines, including IMCA, OCIMF, OVID and e CMID. Practical experience inspecting, auditing or managing surveys for marine and offshore assets.
