<p>Technical Manager – Construction</p><p>Job Purpose</p><p>The Technical Manager is responsible for leading and managing all technical, engineering, design coordination, and construction-related technical activities across assigned projects. The role ensures that designs, drawings, specifications, materials, and construction methodologies are technically compliant, coordinated, cost-effective, and delivered in accordance with approved project schedules, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>Technical Management</p><ul><li><p>Lead and manage all technical activities throughout the project lifecycle.</p></li><li><p>Review and coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, infrastructure, and specialist design requirements.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and authority requirements.</p></li><li><p>Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.</p></li><li><p>Resolve technical issues and provide timely engineering solutions.</p></li></ul><p>Design & Engineering Coordination</p><ul><li><p>Review design drawings, shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical submissions.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate between design consultants, project teams, subcontractors, and specialist contractors.</p></li><li><p>Identify design clashes, discrepancies, and constructability issues.</p></li><li><p>Lead design review meetings and ensure timely closure of technical comments.</p></li><li><p>Support value engineering and design optimization initiatives.</p></li></ul><p>Construction Support</p><ul><li><p>Provide technical support to construction and site teams.</p></li><li><p>Review construction methodologies and ensure technical feasibility.</p></li><li><p>Monitor site execution against approved drawings and specifications.</p></li><li><p>Assist in resolving RFIs, technical queries, NCRs, and site-related technical project management teams.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Required Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.</p></li><li><p>Professional certification or membership of a recognized engineering body is preferred.</p></li><li><p>Relevant technical or project management certification is an advantage.</p></li></ul><p>Experience</p><ul><li><p>Minimum <strong>10–15 years of relevant experience</strong> in the construction industry.</p></li><li><p>Experience in a technical management role within a main contractor, developer, or engineering consultancy.</p></li><li><p>Strong experience in large-scale residential, commercial, high-rise, infrastructure, or mixed-use construction projects.</p></li><li><p>Proven experience in design coordination, construction support, technical problem-solving, and stakeholder management.</p></li></ul><p>Technical Skills</p><ul><li><p>Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, and technical standards.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of relevant local authority requirements and international construction
