Job Summary As part of COE-OPAMI, under the Reliability, Asset Management, Performance and Innovation (RAMPi) function, the Innovation Assistant Manager is primarily responsible for driving organizational innovation and continuous improvement across ENOVA's facilities and energy services operations. This role will help in the development and management of innovation programs, idea management processes, stakeholder engagement, and innovation portfolio tracking to support ENOVA's strategic objectives in the facilities management and energy services sector. <br>Key Responsibilities Establish and manage structured innovation processes including idea submission, evaluation, prioritization, and implementation frameworks aligned with organizational strategy. Coordinate innovation campaigns and employee engagement initiatives across all organizational levels and facilities. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><ul><li><p>To serve as a change agent, developing, coordinating, facilitating and leading continuous improvement projects under the umbrella of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma for Company Sites through Lean & Quality Engineers.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for coaching and mentoring on Lean & Six Sigma tools and methodologies, coaching project champions and process owners, and developing future leaders of Lean Manufacturing.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for completing productivity projects assigned from Higher Management and Manager Lean & Business Transformation.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to the enhancement of business efficiencies and effectiveness of the site by developing and implementing world-class strategies and advising and coordinating with Maintenance, Finance, Operations, Process Control, Laboratory, other service departments, and Senior Management and their staff on the implementation of Lean Manufacturing systems, techniques, and a comprehensive range of Industrial Engineering (IE) projects.</p></li><li><p>Develop, customize, manage, maintain, and continuously improve the site-specific implementation of Lean Manufacturing & Business Transformation initiatives.</p></li></ul><p>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES</p><p>Lean Manufacturing Strategy</p><ul><li><p>Lead and deliver the company’s Lean and Six Sigma strategy to ensure business improvements and significant business impact in terms of process improvement and cost savings across the company site.</p></li><li><p>Monitor, review, resolve deviations, and report on actual performance and expenditure against strategic objectives to ensure all area objectives are achieved within approved budgets.</p></li></ul><p>Business Transformation Projects</p><ul><li><p>Facilitate, identify, and recommend improvement projects, proposals, and Tamayaz projects to support annual objectives defined by management.</p></li><li><p>Assist departments in preparing annual plans for potential improvement opportunities, Kaizen events, projects, and Tamayaz initiatives. Coordinate projects within the Lean Manufacturing journey and develop recommendations and action plans through thorough analysis and evaluation of alternatives.</p></li></ul><p>Tracking and Follow-up of Business Transformation Performance and Projects</p><ul><li><p>Drive visibility and awareness of Lean Manufacturing by tracking continuous improvement status, cost savings, training certifications, Lean projects, Tamayaz project status, and communicating achievements and successes.</p></li></ul><p>Analysis and Prioritization</p><ul><li><p>Align Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Guiding Principles deployment with departmental strategies and prioritize projects accordingly to drive Lean leadership throughout the organization.</p></li></ul><p>Mentoring and Coaching of Lean and Quality Team and Departments</p><ul><li><p>Act as a mentor and coach to Area Managers and Senior Lean & Quality Engineers, enhancing confidence and commitment to sustainable continuous improvement.</p></li><li><p>Lead complex, high-visibility Lean projects across operational departments, providing leadership, direction, and expertise to managers and employees.</p></li></ul><p>Lean Manufacturing Tools Implementation</p><ul><li><p>Manage Lean project portfolios, conduct Kaizen events, lead Black Belt and Green Belt training, and provide practical mentoring and coaching through dynamic and effective training delivery.</p></li></ul><p>Process Management</p><ul><li><p>Collaborate with process managers to develop, analyze, and implement improved cross-functional systems and processes that ensure smooth product flow throughout the value stream.</p></li><li><p>Develop Visual Management Systems to support daily operations and continuously improve cost, quality, and delivery performance.</p></li></ul><p>EGA Lean Manufacturing & Business Transformation KPIs and Tracking</p><ul><li><p>Support execution of the company’s Lean Manufacturing & Business Transformation strategy to achieve business improvement objectives aligned with overall business strategy and Lean Manufacturing principles.</p></li></ul><p>Productivity Projects</p><ul><li><p>Ensure timely completion of all productivity projects identified internally or assigned by Senior Management while maintaining the highest level of stakeholder satisfaction.</p></li></ul><p>Training and Awareness</p><ul><li><p>Partner with, train, and coach employees in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.</p></li></ul><p>AUTHORITY / DECISION MAKING</p><ul><li><p>Problem-solving and root cause analysis are critical responsibilities of the role.</p></li><li><p>Apply the PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) continuous improvement cycle rigorously. Maintain accountability for modifying implementations that do not align with Lean Manufacturing principles. Make decisions necessary to prevent system failures while remaining within the scope of responsibility.</p></li><li><p>Work independently while keeping departmental management informed and consulted on key decisions, financial matters, approvals, and contract-related activities.</p></li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li><p>Minimum Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>Recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with an accredited and internationally recognised professional certification (Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering preferred), or a recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Science.</p></li><li><p>Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.</p></li></ul><p>Minimum Experience</p><ul><li><p>At least 6 years of experience in Lean Management, preferably within aluminium smelters, alumina refineries, or heavy manufacturing industries; or accredited experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment of at least 10 years.</p></li></ul><p>Skills</p><ul><li><p>Experience in teaching Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies and mentoring improvement projects.</p></li><li><p>Thorough knowledge of Lean Manufacturing systems.</p></li><li><p>Strong leadership and management skills.</p></li><li><p>Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to organize, prioritize, and drive tasks through to successful completion.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Excellent written and spoken English, with proven ability to develop and document procedures.</p></li><li><p>Excellent interpersonal and customer-focused skills.</p></li><li><p>Excellent time management and priority-setting skills.</p></li></ul></li></ul><p></p></section>
