Salary: up to AED 95,000 per month

Exclusive mandate with eMagine Solutions

There are CISO roles that focus on controls. And then there are CISO roles that shape the future of an entire enterprise.

We’re hiring a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in Dubai for a large, highly respected family group with a broad and ambitious portfolio spanning Retail, Real Estate, Technology, Automotive, and F&B (and more). This is a rare opportunity to step into a seat with genuine influence—where security is not a tick-box function, but a strategic enabler of growth, trust, and resilience.

This group is scaling, diversifying, modernising, and investing. That means the security agenda is wide, complex, and high-impact: multiple business units, different risk profiles, varying levels of maturity, and a leadership team that expects clarity, confidence, and results.

If you’re the kind of CISO who can translate risk into decisions, build a security culture without slowing the business, and lead from the front in moments that matter, this one will feel like home.

The mission

As CISO, you will own the enterprise security strategy end-to-end—setting direction, building capability, and ensuring security becomes a competitive advantage across the group.

You’ll be trusted to:

Design and deliver a group-wide cybersecurity strategy and operating model aligned to business priorities

Establish strong governance, policies, standards, and security architecture across diverse entities

Lead cyber risk management: identify, quantify, prioritise, and drive remediation with measurable outcomes

Build and mature incident response, crisis management, and cyber resilience (including tabletop exercises and executive readiness)

Strengthen third-party / supply chain security across vendors, partners, and outsourced services

Oversee security tooling and capability (SOC, SIEM, EDR, IAM, DLP, vulnerability management, cloud security) with a pragmatic ROI lens

Partner with technology and business leaders to enable secure transformation—cloud, apps, data, and enterprise platforms

Drive security awareness and culture so that security becomes “how we operate,” not “what we avoid”

Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing security team (internal + managed partners)

What makes this role different

Real breadth: multiple sectors, multiple operating models, and real-world complexity

Real authority: a seat at the table, not a role buried in IT

Real impact: you’ll shape security maturity across a group that touches customers, assets, data, and critical operations at scale

Real reward: up to AED 95,000 per month for the right leader

The person we’re looking for

You’re a senior security leader who blends executive presence with hands-on credibility. You can zoom out to strategy and zoom in when the situation demands it. You’re calm under pressure, commercially aware, and respected by both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Ideally you bring:

Proven experience as a CISO / Head of Information Security / Director of Cybersecurity in a complex, multi-entity environment

Strong command of security governance, risk, compliance, and security engineering

Experience building or maturing capabilities across SOC, IR, IAM, cloud security, vulnerability management, and third-party risk

Confidence engaging with boards/executives and delivering clear, decision-ready reporting

Familiarity with relevant frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls)

Strong stakeholder management—able to influence without creating friction

Based in Dubai (or ready to relocate), with regional experience a plus

Process & confidentiality

This search is being handled exclusively by eMagine Solutions. It owns the AI Platform & Implementation Standard, runs the AI security risk-assessment process for AI and large language model (LLM) use cases including agentic AI, and sets group-wide data security governance — classification, protection standards and data-loss-prevention policy — across NI's key regions.

This role defines the control requirements engineers build to, assesses AI/data risk independently of the build teams, and reports AI and data security posture to governance committees as NI scales AI adoption.

Job Accountabilities

Own and maintain the AI Platform & Implementation Standard and the supporting suite of AI security policies and standards, keeping them current as AI adoption and the regulatory landscape evolve. Operate the AI security risk-assessment process for all AI and LLM use cases, including agentic AI, and maintain the AI use-case security register as the authoritative record of what AI is in use, where, and against what risk profile. Implement and maintain the AI governance framework aligned to ISO/IEC 42001 and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF), and support the organisation's certification roadmap toward ISO/IEC 42001. Own AI third-party risk: define security requirements for AI vendors and model providers, and assess vendor and model-governance claims against NI's requirements. Maintain regulatory watch and alignment for AI and data security across NI's MEA footprint, tracking CBUAE, SAMA guidance, UAE PDPL, POPIA, DIFC/DFSA requirements and EU AI Act exposure arising from EU financial-institution clients. Report AI and data security key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Technology Advisory Committee (TAC) and Enterprise Risk Management Committee (ERMC) through the Group CISO.

Governance & Interfaces

Reports AI and data security posture to the Group's executive risk and technology committees, through the Group CISO. Experience in banking, financial services or payments (BFSI/fintech) strongly preferred, given the regulatory and audit expectations of a systemically important payments processor. Exposure to MEA regulatory regimes (CBUAE, SAMA, UAE PDPL, POPIA, DIFC/DFSA or equivalent) is preferred.
