Job Description: Civil & Structure Engineer (Telecom)
Location: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah – UAE
Position Summary:
The Civil & Structure Engineer in the telecom industry is responsible for designing, inspecting, and supervising the construction of civil and structural elements for telecom infrastructure, ensuring safety, compliance, and project efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and review structural frameworks for telecom towers, poles, and other infrastructure.
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to assess structural requirements.
- Prepare and review detailed technical drawings, calculations, and reports.
- Supervise the construction, installation, and maintenance of telecom structures.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Perform structural inspections and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Provide technical support to resolve on-site issues and ensure timely project delivery.
Skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in civil/structural roles, preferably in telecom projects.
- Proficiency in structural design tools (e.g., STAAD Pro, AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of telecom infrastructure requirements and industry standards.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Reports To: Project Manager/Engineering Lead
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and standards.
- Experience with high-rise structures and telecom-specific projects.
