Duties And Responsibilities<br><br>Take responsibility and ownership for executing the project end-to-end and for delivery of project on time with good quality and profitability.<br><br>Project Initiation<br><br>Outline project execution strategy and submit to management prior to project kick-off meeting Ensure preparation of detailed project schedule with appropriate milestones, based on contract. Ensure that drawings are obtained from design team. Review and approve drawings prior to submission to client and monitor and review all rework and resubmissions until final approval is obtained. Work with Finance and Management team to prepare ACE and get it approved. Define initial organization of project team, competencies required based on contract and project scope and work with HR to hire members for key positions immediately. Define detailed org chart subsequently and take steps to build an effective team with required skill set and mobilize the team. Evaluate available sub-contractor options and get quote from suitable ones and submit to management. Participate in a meeting with other committee members ( BU Head, regional head, finance head etc) to finalize sub-contractor. Ensure resource mobilization for the project at various stages, as required. Ensure that soil testing and initial site assessments are completed properly as per schedule. Ensure that procurement is on track and provide necessary support for the same. Review and finalize Project Quality Manual (PQM) and Health and safety Manual ( HSM) Establish relationship with all stakeholders including the client and CE and internal stakeholders including management team, supporting teams.<br><br>Project Execution And Completion<br><br>Ensure resource deployment and mobilization as per project strategy and project requirements. Ensure material procurement and logistics are on track and site is ready to receive materials as per delivery schedule. Set up efficient systems and processes to ensure smooth interactions between various departments. Monitor and keep abreast of all site activities and ensure that all issues and concerns are addressed in a timely manner. Monitor progress periodically against schedule, quality standards and budget (ACE), as well as against contractual requirements, client requirements and company standards. Highlight critical points and propose corrective action plans. Ensure adherence of every function and process to PQM and HSM right through the project lifecycle. Monitor NCR and keep a check on LTI. Prepare risk assessment and mitigation plans. Organize weekly project review meetings with project team, site team and Engineering team (Head Quarter) to understand the design progress, actual project progress in terms of SPI, CPI, EVM etc. and provide appropriate action plans. Present project status updates to the management team during management review meetings Gather extensive knowledge on local people and communities in order to arrange social awareness programs for site teams.<br><br>Team Management<br><br>Provide guidance and support to the various project teams to achieve their respective goals. Ensure that all teams are communicating with each other appropriately. Conduct weekly review meetings with site team. Ensure that site team and workmen are motivated and engaged and ensure that all their basic needs are met. Ensure that new joiners are inducted and on-boarded effectively.<br><br>Client/Consultant Management<br><br>Establish a good working relationship with the client and CE and ensure customer satisfaction. Represent the company’s interests while dealing with the client/CE. Ensure that progress reports are shared with client/CE as per agreed terms. Keep the client informed of any changes/developments/major deviations from contract required during execution and get required approvals. Ensure that all client approvals are obtained appropriately and without delay and all client/CE inspections are conducted as per contract. Address any variations contractually. Approve all communications to the client, from members of the project team. Attend review meetings, along with project & execution team as required when arranged by client or CE.<br><br>Sub-contractor Management<br><br>Ensure mobilization of sub-contractor’s resources as per project plan Ensure development and implementation of sub-contractor’s work plan and reporting/review mechanism. Monitor quality and safety plan implementation by sub-cotractors<br><br>Reporting<br><br>Review periodic reports submitted by heads of departments and take necessary actions. Ensure the periodic submission of all review reports on EHS, Quality, Schedule and Cost related items to BU Head/ Head of operations(SS/TL) as per mutually agreed terms Ensure the periodic submission of all review reports on EHS, Quality and Schedule related items to Client/CE as per contract.<br><br>Financial<br><br>Prepare and periodically review project related budgets. Monitor and control cost to ensure profitability of project is maintained. Ensure that sales targets are achieved and invoicing and collections are done on time. Develop strategy for Processing Claims and implement it with all relevant stakeholders including customers, suppliers, partners, insurances and other third parties.<br><br>Statutory<br><br>Manage contracts effectively with internal and external stakeholders, CE and client. Ensure that work adheres to all statutory requirements and policies on safety, environment and community issues as per contract, company policies and law of land. Design Engineer - Civil shall be able to review Vendor engineering documents with respect to Civil & Structural design.
