We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our project team in Qatar - Ras Laffan. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, updating, monitoring, and controlling project schedules while providing accurate progress reporting, schedule analysis, and forecasting for large-scale construction projects.<br><br>Key Responsibilities:<br><br>Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6Monitor project progress and analyze schedule performance Prepare progress reports, delay analysis, and recovery plans Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely execution of activities Identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation measures Support project management with planning, resource allocation, and reporting requirements Ensure compliance with project milestones and contractual obligations Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders regarding planning and scheduling matters<br><br><br>Requirements<br><br>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline Minimum 8-12 years of planning and scheduling experience in large-scale building construction projects Proven experience in residential, accommodation, mixed-use, institutional, or similar developments Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (Advanced Level) Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering projects of comparable scale and complexity Previous experience in Qatar is preferred; GCC experience will also be considered MMUP/UPDA registration is preferred for candidates currently in Qatar and mandatory where applicable Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project controls, and scheduling principles Familiarity with Qatar Energy requirements, major clients, consultants, and local authority regulations is an advantage Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal<br><br>Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities<br><br>Location and Availability:<br><br>Ras Laffan, Qatar<br><br>Preference will be given to candidates who are currently available in the UAE for face-to-face interviews with the client.<br><br>Candidates should be available to join within a reasonable timeframe, subject to notice period requirements.

The role covers full project lifecycle management from design coordination through execution, testing, commissioning, and final handover.<br><br>As MEP Manager, you will play a central role in driving the delivery of critical building systems across major construction projects. This role is suited to a leader who can bring together engineering, site execution, commissioning, and stakeholder coordination to help ensure quality, progress, and successful project outcomes across complex developments.<br><br>Responsibilities<br><br>Lead and manage all MEP works including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and ELV systems from engineering through commissioning and handover. Oversee MEP design coordination, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical approvals. Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure timely and quality project delivery. Coordinate closely with civil, architectural, and structural teams to ensure integrated project execution. Ensure compliance with project specifications, authority regulations, and international standards. Manage testing & commissioning activities, system validation, and final inspections. Liaise with consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities for approvals and inspections. Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and implement corrective actions when required. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards across all MEP activities. Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and project close-out reports. <br><br><br>Requirements<br><br>Minimum 15 years of experience in MEP construction Proven experience in large-scale building construction projects, including residential, accommodation, mixed-use, institutional, or similar developments Successful delivery of projects of comparable scale and complexity Experience leading MEP delivery on large residential, accommodation, commercial, or mixed-use developments Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Currently based in Qatar or another GCC country, with GCC experience accepted in lieu of Qatar experience Strong knowledge of testing, commissioning, and authority approvals Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, including experience coordinating with project stakeholders and leading cross-functional MEP delivery Valid MMUP/UPDA registration where applicable Fluent in written and verbal English Familiarity with Qatar Energy, major clients, consultants, and local authority requirements is preferred
