Job Description – Security Manager Position Title Security Manager Location The Dubai EDITION, Dubai, UAE<br><br>Position Summary The Security Manager is responsible for the overall safety, security, and protection of guests, employees, visitors, contractors, hotel assets and property. The role ensures the implementation of effective security policies, emergency response procedures, risk management strategies and compliance with local regulations and hotel standards. The Security Manager leads the Security Department, maintains a secure environment throughout the hotel and works closely with operational departments to prevent security incidents while ensuring exceptional guest experiences<br>.<br>Key Responsibilities:Security Operations Management Manage and supervise all hotel security operations on a 24/7 basis. Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures and standard operating practices. Ensure adequate security coverage for all areas of the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, bars, parking facilities, back-of-house areas and event spaces. Conduct regular patrols and inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks. Monitor security systems, CCTV operations, access control systems, alarms and surveillance equipment. Risk Assessment & Loss Prevention Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses. Develop and implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft, fraud and property damage. Investigate incidents involving theft, misconduct, accidents, security breaches or suspicious activities. Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective actions. Maintain records of all investigations and security-related matters. Emergency Preparedness & Crisis Management Lead emergency response planning and execution. Ensure preparedness for fire emergencies, medical incidents, natural disasters, security threats and evacuation procedures. Coordinate emergency drills and training programs. Act as Incident Commander during emergencies until relieved by senior management or emergency services. Liaise with Civil Defence, Police, Ambulance Services and other government authorities when required. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate Security Officers and Supervisors. Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions. Ensure all team members maintain professional appearance, discipline and service standards. Develop departmental training programs focused on security awareness, emergency response and guest interaction. Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with UAE laws, local authority regulations and hotel security standards. Support Health & Safety initiatives and workplace safety programs. Participate in safety committee meetings and risk management reviews. Monitor contractor and vendor compliance with security requirements. Ensure confidentiality and protection of guest information and company assets. Guest & Employee Safety Maintain a visible security presence while providing excellent guest service. Handle guest complaints and security concerns professionally and discreetly. Assist departments in resolving security-related issues. Promote a safe and secure working environment for all employees. Reporting & Administration Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly security reports. Analyze incident trends and recommend preventive measures. Manage departmental budgets, staffing schedules and security equipment inventories. Maintain all security records, licenses, permits and compliance documentatio<br>n.<br>Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field. Valid SIRA Manager/Supervisor Certification is required. Professional security certifications are preferred. UAE driving license is an advanta<br>ge.<br>Experience Requirements Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in hotel security operations, with at least 3–5 years in a Security Manager position within a luxury hotel environment. Previous experience with Marriott International properties is mandatory, preferably within luxury brands such as The Dubai EDITION, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, W Hotels or JW Marriott. Valid SIRA Certification (Security Industry Regulatory Agency – Dubai) is mandatory for this role. Thorough understanding of SIRA regulations, Dubai security compliance requirements and UAE hospitality security standards. Strong knowledge of Marriott security standards, brand requirements, emergency response procedures and loss prevention programs. Experience managing security operations in luxury hotels with multiple outlets, event spaces, VIP guests and high-profile clientele. It owns the AI Platform & Implementation Standard, runs the AI security risk-assessment process for AI and large language model (LLM) use cases including agentic AI, and sets group-wide data security governance — classification, protection standards and data-loss-prevention policy — across NI's key regions.<br><br>This role defines the control requirements engineers build to, assesses AI/data risk independently of the build teams, and reports AI and data security posture to governance committees as NI scales AI adoption.<br><br>Job Accountabilities<br><br> Own and maintain the AI Platform & Implementation Standard and the supporting suite of AI security policies and standards, keeping them current as AI adoption and the regulatory landscape evolve. Operate the AI security risk-assessment process for all AI and LLM use cases, including agentic AI, and maintain the AI use-case security register as the authoritative record of what AI is in use, where, and against what risk profile. Implement and maintain the AI governance framework aligned to ISO/IEC 42001 and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF), and support the organisation's certification roadmap toward ISO/IEC 42001. Define LLM and generative-AI security control requirements — prompt-injection defence, model access control, output filtering and human-in-the-loop (HITL) requirements — as standards for Security Architecture & Engineering and Technology to implement. Own group data security governance: the data classification scheme, data protection standards, data-loss-prevention (DLP) policy, and data lifecycle security requirements, in coordination with the policy owners for Netskope and equivalent DLP tooling. Own AI third-party risk: define security requirements for AI vendors and model providers, and assess vendor and model-governance claims against NI's requirements. Maintain regulatory watch and alignment for AI and data security across NI's MEA footprint, tracking CBUAE, SAMA guidance, UAE PDPL, POPIA, DIFC/DFSA requirements and EU AI Act exposure arising from EU financial-institution clients. Interface with the Data Protection Officer (DPO) on the security-versus-privacy boundary: this role owns security of data, the DPO owns privacy compliance, and the two coordinate joint assessments where AI or data initiatives touch personal data. Report AI and data security key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Technology Advisory Committee (TAC) and Enterprise Risk Management Committee (ERMC) through the Group CISO.<br><br>Governance & Interfaces<br><br> Reports AI and data security posture to the Group's executive risk and technology committees, through the Group CISO. Provides standards input to the Design Authority Review Board (DARB). Partners with Security Architecture & Engineering, which retains engineering execution — Dev Sec Ops guardrails, reference architectures and DARB design reviews — against the standards this role sets. Engages Technology's data and AI platform teams for second-line control testing and assurance reporting on standards conformance.<br><br>Experience/ Skills Required<br><br> Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred. 9–12 years of progressive information security experience, including at least 3 years focused specifically on AI/ML security or data governance. Experience in banking, financial services or payments (BFSI/fintech) strongly preferred, given the regulatory and audit expectations of a systemically important payments processor. Exposure to MEA regulatory regimes (CBUAE, SAMA, UAE PDPL, POPIA, DIFC/DFSA or equivalent) is preferred. Demonstrated experience operating a governance, risk-assessment or standards function, with the ability to write and maintain enterprise-grade policy and standards documentation. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>The Manager – Security Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing day to day network security operations delivered by the SOC/NOC (Security Engineering Team), Managed Service Providers, and onsite resources. The role ensures the effective operation of security platforms, incident response, vulnerability remediation, and the maintenance of secure configurations across production environments. Reporting operationally to the Head of Technology Operations, the position provides oversight of security execution activities, ensures compliance with established corporate security policies and frameworks, and manages the security operations budget to ensure resources are used efficiently. The role is focused on operating and sustaining security controls and does not own security policy, regulatory interpretation, risk acceptance, or independent assurance functions.</p><p>Core Accountabilities:</p><ul><li><p>Own the day to day operation of security controls across infrastructure, cloud platforms, identity services, and enterprise applications.</p></li><li><p>Act as the The Senior Manager of Governance is responsible for developing the information security and cybersecurity strategy and plan. This role aims to protect DET’s Information assets from risks, threats, and attacks by establishing robust security policies and aligning them with local and federal mandates, such as those from the Dubai Cyber Security Strategy and the Dubai Electronic Security Center.<br>The responsibilities include managing policy implementation, managing risk assessments, delivering training programs, and ensuring compliance across all technology platforms. Conducting investigations on information security policy breaches and recommending solutions. As part of this role, you will use your technical background - in the Application Security domain – along with your Project Management skills to ensure a successful service delivery to our clients. You will work side-by-side with our clients’ development and security teams & partners, under engagements / projects that involve:<br><br>Working with our clients to understand their requirements and scope, size, & plan the corresponding technical activities to efficiently meet those (consulting, assessments, audits, evaluations, security architecture development, etc.). Receiving high-level task & product descriptions and decomposing them to smaller & well-defined technical activities, which are then assigned to the corresponding security engineering & consulting teams. Leading project’s technical team within the scope of the engagement. Documenting and presenting product security risks in both technical and business-oriented language. Conducting technical QA and presenting to both technical and business audiences, the technical team deliverables (findings, technical reports, observations, improvement recommendations, operational methodologies, etc.). Building and developing relationships with cross-client teams and partners. Owning & driving the continuous improvement of the technical quality of the project team deliverables. Ensuring client satisfaction and business growth by communicating lessons learned and key success factors to the business development team. <br><br>Minimum Qualifications<br><br>MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.4+ years of experience in application security related role. Experience can be an engineering / development position (e.g., consumer or enterprise), an assessment / consultancy role, an equivalent role in other engineering organizations, or a combination of them.2+ years of experience in technical project management in a role related to product or information security.<br><br>Key Skills & Preferred Qualifications<br><br>Experience with security concepts, cryptography, and protocols across various Application types (cloud, web, mobile, IoT / Embedded, etc.). Experience with reviewing application security architectures & engaged technologies. Experience with Mobile (i OS & Android), Cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.) or Web (Frontend & Backend) platforms. Experience in reading source code, discerning business logic pitfalls, and identifying security flaws in at least one of the following groups of languages:Mobile-relevant, such as Swift, Obj-C, Kotlin, Java, Dart, and Java Script. Web- and Cloud-relevant, such as Java, Ruby, Rust, Go, Python, PHP, C#, Lua, and Java Script. Experience with application authentication, authorization, identity, and access management methods, such as OAuth, SSO, JWT, PKI / Certificates, Cloud IAM, and Password-less authentication. Familiarity with application security features and key management systems backed by secure hardware, such as Mobile Biometric authentication, Keystore / Keychain, TPM / v TPM, HSM and SE. Familiarity with product security assessments and S-SDLC processes. Experience with managing technical teams. Experience with translating complex technical concepts into relevant messages suitable for various audiences (engineering and different tiers of management).
