Completes formal training program in fluids chemistry, volume and hydraulics calculations, routine and specialized testing, separation equipment theory and application, and learns to provide well site service to customers. Learns to operate, maintain and optimize Baroid equipment including testing, separation, and waste management equipment. Learns to adequately prepare and track inventory of palletized and bulk products and equipment spares at the rig site based on the drilling program and anticipated conditions. Assists with interpreting results of routine and specialized testing in order to provide technical solutions. Assists in the operation of some separation and waste management equipment and has knowledge of how such equipment affects overall fluid performance. Complies with health, safety and environment regulations in all aspects of job performance. Performs in a professional manner as a Halliburton representative with clients. Learns how to maintain good working relationships with operator&amp;aposs representative and rig personnel. No previous work experience is required. Completion of a Bachelor&amp;aposs Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) or other related Bachelor&amp;aposs Degree program is required. Establishes development plans for the assigned operational team and ensures they are followed. Performs applicable performance and competency assessments, and disciplinary activities as necessary up to and including termination proceedings with collaboration from the PDC and Human Resources. Assists with pre-job preparations by reviewing the cement job plan with the Technical Professional and the cement crew and addressing equipment and / or operational concerns before mobilizing to location. Supervises employees engaged in the delivery of cementing services and products, ensuring they follow the applicable Customer and Halliburton Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) procedures and Halliburton Management System (HMS) procedures and the approved cement job plan. If required, initiates the Management of Change procedure. Holds pre and post-job safety meetings. Reviews job performance with the crew to identify opportunities to improve. Uses extensive cementing knowledge to assist cementing team resolve equipment and job execution problems. Engages employees in all PSL / Regional initiatives in the field. With support functions, continually evaluates the service quality of delivered services, including reviewing applicable performance metrics such as equipment maintenance compliance and equipment readiness, and applies findings to improve HSE performance and the utilization of equipment and personnel, reduce costs, increase service efficiency and customer satisfaction. Develops good customer relationships at the well site, providing operational expertise and solutions and following up on job performance to ensure customer satisfaction, including resolving job disputes and issues to approved levels. Performs pre-job calculations related to: pipe capacities and volume/height math, plug landing pressures, absolute volumes (including total water requirements for job), hydrostatic and differential pressure, resulting forces, balanced plugs, bulk cement blending, calculations to include liquid additives and weighted spacers, pressure to reverse, and determining burst and collapse. Sets-up and utilizes a controller to run ADC software for the purpose of monitoring and acquiring job data and for accurate mixing of cement slurries in the performance of a cementing job. Downloads controller and/or performs real-time report generation of job data using the appropriate computer system. Completes documents, reports, and forms related to the cementing service performed. Trains and provides guidance to less experienced Service Operators and Operator Assistants in the operation of some or all of the following: cement pumping and mixing equipment, blenders, liquid additive metering systems, centrifugal pumps, data acquisition systems, ADC systems, bulk cement blending, delivery and storage systems, manfolding equipment, and cementing plug releasing tools. Assists in communicating the pre-job and on-the-job progress to customer. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined. Skills are typically acquired through successful completion of high school or similar education and 1 year of experience as Service Operator-Cementing I. Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required. Given the nature of oil field service work, the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary. Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines. Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement processes. A passing score on job-related tests or meeting task guidelines is required.
