Role Description The Senior Compliance Officer will oversee and strengthen compliance frameworks related to global health activities, grants, and partnerships. This part-time, hybrid role is based in Abu Dhabi, with a combination of on-site work and remote work-from-home arrangements. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring regulatory requirements, reviewing policies and procedures, and ensuring adherence to internal and external compliance standards. The Senior Compliance Officer will assess financial and operational processes for compliance risks, prepare reports and documentation, and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to address compliance issues. The role also involves providing guidance on regulatory changes, supporting audits, and contributing to the continuous improvement of compliance practices within the Global Health Office. Qualifications Strong expertise in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance, with a track record of designing, implementing, or overseeing compliance frameworks. Well-developed Analytical Skills to assess risks, interpret regulations, and evaluate policies, processes, and data for potential compliance gaps. Effective Communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, present findings, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners. Sound understanding of Finance, particularly in relation to grants administration, budgeting, and financial controls within an academic or nonprofit context. Experience in public health, higher education, or international development settings is an advantage. Demonstrated integrity, attention to detail, and ability to exercise sound judgment in complex regulatory environments. Bachelor’s degree in law, public policy, business, finance, public health, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certification in compliance or audit is preferred. Ability to work independently in a hybrid setting, manage multiple priorities, and engage with culturally diverse stakeholders.
