The Petroleum Engineer is expected to combine strong engineering expertise with analytical thinking and commercial awareness to maximize resource recovery while maintaining operational safety, environmental stewardship, and economic performance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Strong understanding of reservoir engineering, drilling engineering, production engineering, well completion, and field development principles. Knowledge of reservoir simulation, production optimization, pressure transient analysis, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), and artificial lift systems. Familiarity with industry software such as Petrel, Eclipse, CMG, OFM, Techlog, Prosper, GAP, Pipesim, Landmark, Kingdom, or similar petroleum engineering applications. Understanding of drilling operations, well integrity, production systems, surface facilities, and hydrocarbon processing. Knowledge of health, safety, environmental (HSE) regulations, risk management, and industry standards applicable to upstream oil and gas operations. Proficiency in engineering analysis, numerical modeling, data interpretation, and technical reporting. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex engineering and operational data. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary technical teams and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, engineering software, and data visualization tools.
