<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Auto Electrician – Roles & Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Diagnose and repair complex automotive electrical system faults, including wiring harnesses, sensors, ECUs, control modules, charging systems, and starting systems using advanced diagnostic equipment.</p></li><li><p>Perform electrical troubleshooting and fault finding on vehicle lighting, ignition, battery, alternator, starter motor, and electronic control systems.</p></li><li><p>Use specialized diagnostic tools such as scan tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and electrical testing equipment to accurately identify and resolve electrical issues.</p></li><li><p>Repair, replace, and install electrical components, wiring, connectors, and electronic modules in accordance with manufacturer standards.</p></li><li><p>Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections of vehicle electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.</p></li><li><p>Diagnose and rectify faults related to automotive air conditioning electrical controls, power windows, central locking, infotainment systems, and other electronic accessories.</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate service records and ensure all repairs comply with safety and quality standards.</p></li><li><p>Stay updated with modern vehicle electrical technologies and diagnostic procedures.</p></li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>Desired Candidate Profile</p><ul><li><p>Minimum <strong>3–4 years of hands-on experience</strong> as an <strong>Auto Electrician</strong>, preferably in a dealership, automotive service center, or reputable independent workshop.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, electronic diagnostics, wiring diagrams, and fault-finding procedures.</p></li><li><p><strong>Proficient in using advanced automotive diagnostic tools and scanners</strong> for fault detection, programming, and troubleshooting.</p></li><li><p><strong>Experience working on high-end luxury and premium vehicles</strong> such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Land Rover, and similar brands.</p></li><li><p>Ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical and electronic faults efficiently across various vehicle makes and models.</p></li><li><p>Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced workshop environment.</p></li></ul><p></p></section>
<p>The key duties and responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li><p>Design & Documentation: Prepare detailed layouts, containment routing, schematic diagrams, and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for internal/external lighting, small power, low voltage (LV) distribution, lightning protection, and earthing systems.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Engineering Calculations: Conduct accurate electrical load estimations, maximum demand calculations, cable sizing, short-circuit analyses, and voltage drop calculations.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Lighting Simulation: Create point-by-point indoor, outdoor, and emergency lighting simulations using DIALux/DIALux evo to verify lux level compliance, uniformity, and energy efficiency targets.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>ELV Systems Coordination: Assist in or directly handle the basic design and integration of Extra-Low Voltage systems, including fire alarm, CCTV, access control, ICT structured cabling, and Central Emergency Battery systems.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Interdisciplinary Coordination: Actively participate in Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination reviews to detect, track, and resolve spatial clashes with HVAC, plumbing, structural, and architectural elements.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Authority Approvals: Prepare technical submission packages, load schedules, and drawings for compliance reviews and approval by municipal bodies and local utilities.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li><p>Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.</p></li><li><p>Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven design office experience specifically within building services consultancy, architectural firms, or the technical design department of a main contractor.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>BIM & CAD Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit (MEP) for 3D modeling and extraction, alongside advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Technical Software: High proficiency in DIALux/DIALux evo, and familiarity with electrical analysis tools (such as ETAP, Amtech/Trimble, or advanced MS Excel calculation models).</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Codes & Standards: Solid foundational knowledge of regional utility regulations (e.g., SEWA/DEWA/ADDC regulations) and international standards like BS 7671 or IEC.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Professional Credentials: Eligibility for or active membership in the local Society of Engineers (or equivalent municipal engineering registration) is highly advantageous.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Core Competencies: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, proactive approach to multi-disciplinary coordination, and clear technical communication skills.</p></li></ul>
