This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer/developer role based in Al Ain , United Arab Emirates. Daily responsibilities include implementing back-end services and APIs, writing clean and testable code, integrating software with hardware and third-party platforms, and troubleshooting issues in production environments. <p>We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Material / QA/QC Engineer to join our Bridge Maintenance Project team for Al Ain Municipality. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all materials, workmanship, inspections, and quality control procedures comply with project specifications, municipal standards, and relevant international codes.
The ideal candidate must have strong experience in civil infrastructure and bridge maintenance projects within the UAE and be capable of coordinating effectively with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
QA/QC Responsibilities
1) Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS).
2) Ensure all site activities comply with approved method statements, specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
3) Conduct inspections and quality checks for bridge maintenance and rehabilitation works.
4) Prepare and maintain Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), checklists, and quality records.
5) Coordinate with consultants and Al Ain Municipality representatives for inspections and approvals.
6) Monitor non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
7) Review subcontractor quality documentation and ensure compliance with project requirements.
8) Ensure all testing activities are carried out as per approved standards and procedures.
Material Engineering Responsibilities
1) Review and approve material submittals in coordination with the consultant/client requirements.
2) Verify that all construction materials comply with approved specifications and standards.
3) Coordinate material testing activities with approved laboratories.
4) Maintain proper records of material approvals, test reports, and certifications.
5) Monitor storage, handling, and usage of materials at site.
6) Ensure timely availability of approved materials to support project progress.
Site Coordination
1) Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.
2) Liaise with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues.
3) Support the project team in achieving project milestones while maintaining quality standards.
4) Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports.</p><p>1) Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
2) Minimum 5–8 years of UAE experience in QA/QC and material engineering for infrastructure or bridge maintenance projects.
