JOB SUMMARYThe Rigging Supervisor plans and supervises all lifting and rigging operations for ship repair and offshore construction projects, ensuring lifts are executed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with company HSE and industry lifting standards.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Plan and supervise daily rigging and lifting activities – crane lifts, load handling, tandem lifts, and heavy transport – across ship and offshore projects.</li><li>Review lift plans, load charts, and rigging arrangements; verify SWL (Safe Working Load) of slings, shackles, chain blocks, and lifting gear before use.</li><li>Supervise and allocate riggers and signalmen; ensure adequate manpower and lifting equipment are available for planned jobs.</li><li>Conduct pre-lift briefings and toolbox talks; confirm lift plans and JSA are understood by the rigging team before commencing work.</li><li>Inspect lifting gear and equipment regularly; ensure certification, color-coding, and load testing are current, and remove defective gear from service.</li><li>Coordinate with Crane Operators, Production, and Planning to sequence lifts without delaying the project schedule.</li><li>Ensure critical and heavy lifts are supported by an approved lift plan and, where required, a certified Appointed Person / Lift Supervisor.</li><li>Maintain rigging loft records – gear register, inspection logs, and load test/certification records – audit-ready at all times.</li><li>Report near-misses, unsafe lifting practices, and equipment defects immediately to HSE and Production Management.</li><li>Provide on-the-job coaching and toolbox training to riggers to improve competency and safe work practices.</li></ul>HSE RESPONSIBILITIES (MANDATORY)<ul><li>Ensure all rigging and lifting operations comply with the company HSE Management System and statutory lifting regulations.</li><li>Conduct/attend Toolbox Talks, JSA reviews, and Permit-to-Work approvals for all lifting operations.</li><li>Stop any lift immediately upon identifying unsafe conditions, overloading, or defective gear, and report to HSE and Production Management.</li><li>Ensure exclusion zones, banksman/signalman controls, and PPE requirements are enforced during all lifts.</li><li>Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions for rigging-related incidents.</li></ul> Desired Candidate ProfileQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE<ul><li>Certified Rigger / Banksman and Slinger qualification (CISRS, LEEA, or equivalent recognized body).</li><li>Minimum 6–8 years' rigging experience in shipyard, offshore construction, or heavy industrial projects, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of lifting equipment, load charts, sling angles, and SWL calculations.</li><li>Familiarity with DNV / class society and OEM requirements for lifting operations on marine and offshore equipment.</li><li>Valid UAE driving license preferred.</li></ul>

The role will be based on-site and will be responsible for supervising landscape construction works, ensuring compliance with design intent, project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. The Landscape Architect will work as part of the supervision consultant team and oversee landscape implementation activities on large-scale infrastructure projects. Our Leading International Consultancy client has a new requirement for a Senior Fire & Life Safety Consultant to join their team in Dubai to work on high profile projects in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior FLS Consultant working for recognised supervision consultants or PMC Companies. This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3-6 month contract as an outsource employed by J10 Consulting. Key Responsibilities: • Design Oversight: Assist in providing technical input and consultation on fire and life safety systems, including fire detection and alarm systems, water-based suppression systems, clean agent extinguishing systems, smoke control systems, and passive fire protection systems for complex projects. Prepare and support design submissions, calculations, and Fire & Life Safety Strategy reports in coordination with senior engineers. Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and professional communication across all deliverables. • Compliance & Inspection: Support verification that designs and installations comply with applicable local and international fire and life safety codes and standards. Assist with audits, site inspections, and compliance reviews. • Risk Management: Support fire risk assessments and hazard analysis and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies for complex and high-profile projects. • Testing & Commissioning: Assist with integrated testing and commissioning of fire and life safety systems to ensure compliance with regulatory, client, and design requirements. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with architects, contractors, clients, and relevant government authorities to support smooth project delivery and effective stakeholder engagement. • Team Development: Mentor and guide junior and graduate consultants. Promote knowledge sharing, innovation, and best practice in fire safety engineering. Participate in training programmes, technical workshops, and continuous professional development activities. • Business Development: Contribute to bid submissions and proposals, attend client meetings, and support the company representation at industry and client events. • Thought Leadership: Support the profile of the companies Fire & Life Safety team through involvement in conferences, technical publications, and professional forums.Senior FLS Consultant Experience: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, Fire Engineering, or a closely related discipline • Pursuing professional license and/or certifications in fire protection (PE, CEng, CFPS or equivalent) are highly desirable. • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in fire life safety/protection engineering consulting. • Knowledge of UAE building codes, international codes, and standards (SBC, IBC, NFPA, BS, and others). • Experience in fire protection design, fire detection and alarm systems, smoke control systems, risk assessments, and compliance audits. • Effective communication and leadership skills.
