Job Summary:The Structural Engineer – Machine Room Works is responsible for the structural design, assessment, and execution support of machine rooms, equipment foundations, steel support structures, platforms, and associated civil works. The role ensures that all structural elements safely support heavy mechanical equipment while complying with project specifications, international design standards, and local authority regulations.<br>Key Responsibilities:Design and analyze structural systems for machine rooms, equipment foundations, concrete pedestals, steel platforms, and support structures. Perform structural calculations for heavy machinery, dynamic loads, vibration, and equipment anchoring systems. Review machine layouts and ensure structural compatibility with mechanical and electrical installations. Prepare structural design calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications. Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, and Civil teams to ensure seamless project execution. Review contractor shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and material submittals. Conduct structural inspections during construction to ensure compliance with approved designs. Assess existing structures and recommend strengthening or modification solutions where required. Ensure all designs comply with applicable international standards and local authority requirements. Participate in technical meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers. Support project teams by resolving structural and site-related engineering issues. Review method statements and lifting plans related to structural installations. Role Description The Mechanical Engineer / Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, developing, and overseeing engineering projects involving mechanical systems, civil infrastructure, and construction activities. This role ensures engineering solutions are safe, efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with applicable standards while supporting project delivery, operational performance, and long-term asset reliability. Key responsibilities include preparing engineering designs, technical specifications, calculations, drawings, and project documentation based on business requirements and engineering standards. The role evaluates project feasibility, conducts site assessments, performs engineering analysis, and recommends practical solutions for infrastructure, buildings, mechanical systems, and construction projects. The position manages project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement support, contractor coordination, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
