Lead smart-factory initiatives involving industrial IoT, connected equipment, real-time monitoring, and manufacturing analytics. Evaluate artificial intelligence and machine-learning applications for quality inspection, predictive maintenance, process optimization, production planning, and anomaly detection. Develop digital manufacturing models, simulations, digital twins, and virtual commissioning capabilities where appropriate. Analyze manufacturing data to identify bottlenecks, process variation, downtime, quality losses, and productivity opportunities. Establish technology performance standards, acceptance criteria, validation plans, and operational KPIs. Coordinate factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning, qualification, and production release. Ensure new technologies are integrated safely and effectively into existing manufacturing operations. Assess the impact of technology implementation on processes, workforce requirements, equipment, facilities, quality, and supply chain. Develop standard operating procedures, work instructions, maintenance requirements, technology standards, and technical documentation. Coordinate technology transfer from R&D, engineering, suppliers, and technology partners into manufacturing operations. Support new-product introduction, process development, pilot production, scale-up, and manufacturing ramp-up. Work with product and process engineering teams to improve manufacturability, automation readiness, and process capability. Identify opportunities to reduce cycle time, labor requirements, scrap, rework, energy consumption, and production costs. Lead manufacturing debottlenecking and capacity-improvement initiatives. Evaluate flexible manufacturing technologies that support changing product mixes, volumes, customization, and customer requirements. Coordinate equipment and technology upgrades, retrofits, software changes, and engineering modifications. We’re looking for someone who has built and shipped customer-facing digital products at scale and understands how strong engineering translates into a great consumer experience.<br>This is a technical leadership role combining engineering management with significant technical depth. The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of an Engineering Manager and Staff/Lead Engineer, leading and developing engineering teams while remaining closely involved in the technical direction of the product.<br>The role is not focused on day-to-day ticket execution.
