The Consultant – Interventional Radiology is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring patient safety, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining clinical excellence in accordance with UAE healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and internationally recognized standards. Perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic and image-guided interventional radiology procedures using ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and angiographic imaging systems. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams. Perform vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures, including but not limited to angiography, angioplasty, embolization, thrombolysis, venous access procedures, image-guided biopsies, drainage procedures, nephrostomy, biliary interventions, tumor ablation, and other minimally invasive therapeutic interventions within the approved scope of practice. Obtain informed consent and explain procedural risks, benefits, and alternatives to patients and their families. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, managing complications promptly and effectively. Interpret diagnostic imaging studies and provide timely, accurate reports. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, tumor boards, and clinical case discussions. Supervise and support junior physicians, radiographers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety initiatives.
