<p>Our Global PMC Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Consultant Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on a new projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Consultant Mechanical Engineer working on projects in the UAE performing design review and site coordination. Key Responsibilities:
The ‘Mechanical Engineer’ will be responsible for providing technical support to the Resident Engineer and for reviewing, monitoring, inspecting and supervising all Mechanical Works for the construction phase of the Project. <p>Our Multi National Project Supervision Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Consultant Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on a new build entertainment project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Planning Engineer on a mix of civil construction and build projects in the UAE and have a proven track record of working in recognised consultancy or PMC Companies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Development & Implementation of efficient Planning Functions, such as Work Break down Structure, Master schedule review, Manpower histograms & Cost loading, Progress Measurement System and coordination.
• Schedule/Progress Reviews and provides recommendation for approval and/or comments on the contractor's schedule submissions, relying on relevant contract terms & conditions and best practices.
• Production of project status reports and management of project dashboards.
• Liaise with Project Management to support teams and monitor performance to ensure adherence to standards and procedures.
• Review of Time Extension Claims, Forensic analysis of schedules, Risk analysis and Continuous improvement strategies.
• Understands and applies engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships
• Develops and maintains critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information.
• Reviews contractor's schedule/progress updates, and weekly and monthly progress reports, and validates accuracy of progress data in coordination with the site team.
• Records any deviations and/or deficiencies in the progress of works, and drafts notification letters to contractors highlighting the areas of concern in terms of factors affecting the schedule/progress of the works.
• Leads the development of weekly & monthly progress reports and progress presentations, taking the lead for all schedule/progress related data, and coordinating with the project team to collate other inputs (quality, safety, commercial, etc).
• Presents progress progress status at meetings.
• Coordinate with site engineers and inspectors who shall verify the contents of the Daily Progress Reports and provide verified data to be reflected on the original Contractors' submission EOT Claims.
• Provide input/details on the project program as part of time impact analysis and claims determination.
• Generate tabular and graphic reports for baseline targets and actual earned values and forecasting.
• Pursue the implementation of technological advancements and digital innovations in the field of planning, monitoring and record keeping.</p><p>Senior Planning Experience:
• Minimum B.Sc degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Minimum of 5/6 years relevant experience and at least 2 in a recognised consultancy or PMC company
• Detailed understanding of statutory authorities, processes, and time frames for approvals in Abu Dhabi;
• Candidates will demonstrate that they can not only use the software (eg Primavera P6) but understand how to plan, have chaired necessary workshops with functional managers, that they can articulate the plan to senior managers and have wider quantitative project controls experience.
• Good Understanding of Critical Path and Delay Analysis Techniques and can perform time impact and claim analysis.
• Certification in planning and scheduling of projects and in using Primavera applications (Primavera Project Management / P6 and Primavera Contract Management / Expedition)
• Competency in working with PIMBOK (Rev 5) and PMI registration will be well regarded.</p>

Key Responsibilities:
Accountable for the quality and workmanship of every activity, precise knowledge of all aspects of engineering construction interfacing the multidisciplinary processes.
Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other important QA/QC documents.
Develop and determine all standards to perform inspection and tests on all procedures and oversee all testing methods and maintain high standards of quality for all processes.
Review quality of all materials at the site and ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality and collaborate with the department for all material procurement and maintain a quality of materials.
Supervise the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules and ensure adherence to all procedures and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes.
Assist with employees to ensure knowledge of all quality standards and ensure compliance to all quality manual and procedures and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain the quality of all systems.
Manage to lift of all types of equipment and handle the efficient storage of all hazardous materials and perform quality audits as per required schedule.
Analyze all products and non-conformance processes and evaluate all documents to ensure the maintenance of optimal quality and prepare monthly reports to evaluate performance.
Monitor an efficient system and record for all project activities and analyze all processes to ensure all work according to quality requirements.
Manage all work methods and maintain knowledge on all quality assurance standards and monitor continuous application for all quality assurance processes and recommend corrective actions for all processes.
Develop a method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project.
Liaise the Technical Engineer for submission of material submittals to Consultant
Coordinate with the consultant's representative and Site In-charge for inspection.
Report to the Project Manager.
Able to Supervise Site Projects and Give Report on Site Work and Progress.
Able to manage and handle direct relationship with Consultants in relation to WIR and MIR</p><p>QA/QC Engineer Experience:
Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related
Candidates should have minimum 4 years experience in QA/QC Engineer, ideally with a recognised contractor company in the UAE.
Experience of liaising with and closing out WIR and MIR reports with leading PMC or Consultancy companies
Technically sound, Strategic planning skills, Analytical and extremely detail-oriented
Excellent time-management skills, with the ability to adjust quickly, should there be changes in work priorities.
Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English.</p>
