Plan, coordinate, and supervise piping fabrication activities in accordance with project requirements and schedules. Ensure fabrication activities comply with applicable codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, ASME Section IX, API, ASTM, and client specifications. Prepare and review fabrication work packages, material take-offs (MTO), and bills of materials (BOM). Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, Planning, and Construction teams to ensure smooth project execution. Supervise pipe cutting, fit-up, welding, spool fabrication, assembly, and dimensional inspection activities. Monitor fabrication progress and ensure timely completion of fabrication deliverables in line with project milestones. Ensure proper material identification, traceability, storage, preservation, and handling throughout fabrication activities. Review and resolve fabrication-related technical queries and construction issues. Ensure all welding activities are performed in accordance with approved WPS, PQR, and qualified welder requirements. Coordinate and monitor NDT, PWHT, hydrotesting, and other inspection activities as per project specifications. Monitor weld quality, repair rates, productivity, and implement corrective actions where necessary. Verify fabrication works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, procedures, and quality requirements. Coordinate spool release, hydrotest package preparation, mechanical completion, and handover activities. Identify potential fabrication constraints and implement mitigation measures to avoid schedule delays. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fabrication progress reports and productivity reports. Participate in project meetings and provide technical support and fabrication status updates. Conduct toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture within fabrication teams. Support site construction activities by coordinating fabricated spool deliveries and installation requirements. Ensure compliance with project quality plans, inspection test plans (ITP), and client requirements. Assist in cost control initiatives by minimizing material wastage, weld repairs, and fabrication rework.<br><br>Qualifications<br><br>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 13–16 years of experience in piping fabrication within Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, LNG, or EPC projects.
