<br> <p><strong>JOB PURPOSE</strong></p><br><p><br>Provide technical expertise in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul and shutdowns to maintain<br>rotating equipment effectively and efficiently to achieve high degree of availability, reliability and integrity for<br>plant production.</p><br><p><br><strong>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES</strong></p><br><p><br>Maintenance Planning, Execution and Expertise<br>• Supervise the installation, maintenance, repair, trouble shooting and modification activities of rotating<br>equipment in the plant to ensure safe and efficient services.<br>• Review preventive maintenance plans / schedules and prepare task list / maintenance programmes for<br>rotating equipment in the plant and supervise the execution of such programmes.<br>• Provide guidance and advice on actions to be taken on chronic problems, and review requirement for<br>major repair and spares replacements to ensure that all equipment is in accordance with internationally<br>recognized engineering standard.<br>• Participate in Risk Assessment exercises and prepare recommendations and guidelines to address the<br>mitigations and controls.<br>• Ensure availability of spares, coordinate and follow-up new material orders. Create new proposal for<br>stocking spares (PFS) mainly for new equipment, create item change request, spare parts control, and<br>delete unwanted inventories from the stock.<br>• Prepare new maintenance procedures, method statement for new activities and schedule long term<br>activities as per plant shutdown schedules.<br>• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with other departments and sections to optimize the<br>utilization of section manpower and to plan and control the major & minor shutdown activities and<br>expenditures.<br>• Provide technical support for development, implementation and commissioning of new projects in the<br>mechanical design and specifications to optimize costs and ensure compliance with applicable<br>standards and best practices.<br>• Prepare new plant change requests (PCR), study the proposed PCR for implementation and work out<br>plans and schedules for implementing them.<br>• Participate in HAZOP review and SIL validation meetings.<br>• Carry out study for major rotating equipment frequent failures and provide recommendations.<br>• Participate in RCA for incidents related to rotating equipment and provide findings and<br>recommendations.<br>Supervision<br>• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.<br>• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job<br>and deliver the respective functional objectives.<br>Budgets<br>• Provide input for preparation of the functional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved<br>Budget and work plans to deliver functional objectives.<br>• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control<br>Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures<br>• Implement approved Section / Team / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and<br>procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International<br>standards.<br>Performance Management<br>• Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the function in line with the<br>Company Performance framework.<br>Innovation and Continuous Improvement<br>• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational<br>processes.<br>• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line<br>with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.<br><strong>QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS</strong></p><br><p><br>Minimum Qualification<br>• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Professional Qualification.<br>Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills<br>• 8 years of experience in engineering and maintenance of Rotating equipment within a large industrial<br>organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.<br>• Extensive experience in rotating equipment design, engineering, construction and maintenance and<br>operation in the oil and gas industry.<br>• Familiarity of international design codes and standards, you will have the ability to prepare design,<br>procurement, construction, (pre) commissioning and hand-over specification packages for rotating<br>equipment<br>• Familiarity of the capabilities and shortcomings of major rotating equipment manufacturers, and a<br>proven track record of conducting technical and commercial negotiations with them<br>• Knowledge of HSE procedures & practices<br>• Planning and Organising, Scheduling and Coordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording<br></p><br><br> </div>
